MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRE PROMOTION
(Game of Skill – Australia and New Zealand)
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
PARTICIPATION
This promotion ("Promotion") is conducted by Hasbro Australia Ltd, ABN 69 004 348 565, of Level 2, 37- 41 Oxford Street, Epping NSW 2121 ("Promoter").
The Promotion is a game of skill in which chance plays no part.
Entry to the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these conditions.
The Promotion is only open to Eligible Entrants. An "Eligible Entrant" is an individual who, at the time of entry: (i) is a
resident of Australia or New Zealand; (ii) is not an employee of the Promoter or any of its related corporations or any of their agencies associated with the Competition; and (iii) is not a spouse, defacto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether full, half, step or by adoption) of such an employee.
Promotion entry opens at 00:00 hrs on 9/9/12 and
ends at 17:00 hrs on 26/10/12 ("Entry Period"). All times and dates are times and dates in Sydney which may be AEST or AEDT depending on the date.
ENTRY TO THE PROMOTION
An Eligible Entrant
may not enter the Promotion more than once.An Eligible Entrant may, during the Entry Period, use a compatible browser to visit either
www.monopolymillionaire.com.au or
www.monopolymillionaire.co.nz (each a "Promotion Website") and follow the directions there to submit an entry into the Promotion by:
providing the requested contact details, including the entrant's first and last names, street address and email address;
choosing which one of the five alternative prizes the entrant would prefer to be awarded as the Major Prize if the entrant wins the Major Prize (the entrant's "Chosen Prize") (see condition 16 below); and
in 50 words or less, describing how the entrant would use their Chosen Prize to live a Millionaire lifestyle (the "Statement").
Each entrant's answer to the Statement must:
be original and must have been written by the entrant;
not be offensive or be likely to cause offence to other persons;
be free of any claims, including copyright claims, by other parties; and
not have been published previously or have won a prize or award in any other competition.
The Promoter may decline to judge or permit the judging of an entrant's Statement if, in the Promoter's opinion, the Statement contains any material which may:
cause offence to any person or group of persons;
infringe the rights (including intellectual property rights, performer's rights or rights of reputation) of any person, whether as a result of being communicated to the public or otherwise; or
promote or depict illegal or negligent activity.
All entrants must ensure that their entries are received by the Promoter during the Entry Period. The Promoter takes no responsibility for late or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures in any delivery service or equipment.
All entries to the Promotion may be subject to verification and confirmation by the Promoter. An entrant MUST deliver to the Promoter (by a means determined by the Promoter) copies of any documents the Promoter may request establishing eligibility to enter or win, including evidence of residence and identity. The Promoter may make one or more requests for such documents. Once the identity of documents available is established, an entrant must deliver requested copies within 7 days of being asked to do so. At the Promoter's request, an entrant MUST also, within 7 days of being asked, allow the Promoter to inspect and copy the original of any such document.
The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare any or all entries made by an entrant invalid if the entrant: (i) fails to establish their entitlement to enter the Promotion to the Promoter's satisfaction; or (ii) fails to produce items as required by condition 11 or produces items that, in the Promoter's opinion, are illegible, stolen, forged, reconstructed, altered, incomplete or tampered with in any way; or (iii) in the Promoter's opinion, tampers with the entry process or benefits from such tampering; or (iv) in the Promoter's opinion, submits an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions.
JUDGING AND PRIZES
No later than 30/11/12 the Promoter will judge the Statements in the entries received. In each entry, the Statement will be judged on creativity, imagination and relevence to the Chosen Prize (the "Judging Criteria"); more is better. Equal Weight will be given to each of the Judging Criteria.
The Eligible Entrant who, in a valid entry, submitted the Statement that is judged to be the best according to the Judging Criteria, will win the Major Prize.
The Eligible Entrants who, in valid entries, submitted the Statements that are judged to be the next thirty best Statements according to the Judging Criteria, will each win a Minor Prize.
MAJOR PRIZE
The Major Prize is whichever one of the following five prizes the Major Prize winner chose in their winning entry:
"Shop, Shop, Shop Til You Drop";
"Luxury Cruise";
"Millionaire Getaway";
"Live the VIP Dream"; or
"Pimp out Your Pad with SONY".The Shop, Shop, Shop Til You Drop prize comprises A$10,000 which will be will be paid by means of a crossed cheque payable to the winner, or if the winner so requests, by means of electronic transfer of funds to any nominated account in Australia if the winner is an Australian resident or in New Zealand if the winner is a New Zealand resident. If the person who won is under 18 years of age, references in this condition to the "winner" are references to the parent or guardian of the person who won and that person will be paid the prize money on behalf of the person who is under 18 years of age.
The Luxury Cruise prize comprises a commercially available cruise anywhere in the world to a maximum value of A$15,000.
The Millionaire Getaway prize comprises travel and accommodation to any commercially available destination to a maximum value of A$15,000.
The Live the VIP Dream prize comprises A$15,000 worth of Ticketek vouchers. If the Major Prize winner is:
an Australian resident, the vouchers will be issued by Ticketek in Australia and be redeemable in Australia;
a New Zealand resident, the vouchers will be issued by Ticketek in New Zealand and be redeemable in New Zealand.

If the Major Prize winner chooses the Luxury Cruise or Millionaire Getaway prize as their Major Prize:
all travel and accommodation must be taken within 12 months of the Major Prize winner being notified that they have won the Major Prize;
the winner must give at least 60 days notice of proposed commencement of travel which must be booked through the Promoter's nominated travel agent;
the winner must be accompanied by a parent or guardian if, at the time that travel commences, the winner is under 18 years of age;
the winner and his/her guests (if any) are responsible for compliance with any health, passport, visa and other requirements for entry into the destination country, any country en-route and return to Australia/New Zealand and bear all risks associated with any refusal of entry into any country. No compensation will be payable if the winner or a guest is unable to use the Major Prize (or any part of it) as stated for whatever reason;
the Major Prize does not (except as expressly agreed at the time that the Major Prize is organised) include:
any transport between a traveller's residence and the departure airport and vice versa;
any overnight accommodation while travelling to the departure airport or destination;
any meals, food or beverages;
any incidental hotel charges (such as mini-bar charges, communication services (eg telephone and internet/email); in-house movies and games, entertainment services, and laundry services);
any insurance (such as travel or health cover);
any costs associated with any passport, visa, health or other requirements for entry into any foreign country and return to Australia/New Zealand;
any vaccinations or other medical or health related services;
any other ancillary costs which may be incurred by the winner or his/her guests in relation to the Major Prize.
MINOR PRIZES
Each Minor Prize is one Monopoly Millionaire game valued in Australia at approximately A$46.99 and in New Zealand at approximately NZ$47.99.GENERAL
Unless otherwise indicated, each prize is valued as at 9/9/12 at Australian prices in A$. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variations in value of a prize.
If the winner of any prize is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to a parent or guardian of the winner, on behalf of the winner.
If a prize (or part of a prize) is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter will, in its absolute discretion, substitute alternative goods or services of no lesser retail value and/or specification. The Promoter accepts no other liability or responsibility for any loss incurred by a winner or any other party if a prize (or part of a prize) is unavailable for any reason.
A right to receive a prize is not transferable or exchangeable and except for the Shop, Shop, Shop Til You Drop prize cannot be taken as a monetary payment.
In order to be entitled to any prize, the winner must, if requested by the Promoter, agree to and sign an eligibility form confirming their compliance with the Conditions and eligibility to accept the prize. A winner will forfeit his/her prize if he/she fails to ensure that all documents relating to that prize are signed in accordance with this condition, as and when required by the Promoter.
If for any reason the conduct or operation of the Promotion is interfered with or disrupted in any way (including by vandalism, power failures, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes, computer bugs or viruses, tampering or technical failures), the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend or recommence the Promotion.
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter or any entrant, (ii) any theft, destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Promotion; (iv) any incorrect or incomplete information which may be communicated in the course of the administering this Promotion (whether as a result of one of the foregoing causes or otherwise).
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO ANY WEBSITE OR THE INFORMATION ON ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS PROMOTION OR TO OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE FAIR AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS COMPETITION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. THE PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW IN THE EVENT THAT ANY SUCH ATTEMPT IS MADE, WHETHER OR NOT THAT ATTEMPT RESULTS IN ANY SUCH DAMAGE, INTERFERENCE OR UNDERMINING.
All of the Promoter's decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax liability incurred as a result of an entrant participating in the Promotion. Entrants should obtain independent tax and financial advice.
To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its associated companies and agencies and any of their personnel (the "Relevant Parties") exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any Eligible Entrant in connection with the Promotion or prize, including: (i) any indirect, economic or consequential loss; (ii) any loss arising from the negligence of a Relevant Party; (iii) any liability for personal injury or death. Nothing in these conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify (i) an Australian entrant's rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010; or (ii) a New Zealand entrant's rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Each winner consents to the Promoter using their name, likeness, image and/or voice (including any photograph, film and/or recording of them) in any media at any time or times without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Promotion, the Promoter and/or any of the Promoter's products.
Entrants' personal information will be collected by or on behalf of the Promoter to enable it to administer the Promotion and publicise its winners and, if an entrant consents, may be used to market its products to the entrant. The personal information of each winner may be provided to others assisting in the conduct of the Promotion, including the Promotion administrator, prize suppliers and deliverers, and to regulatory authorities. Persons may contact the Promoter at the address in condition 1 to request access to, or corrections of, any of their collected personal information that is held by the Promoter. If an entrant does not provide accurate personal information the Promoter may determine that they are not eligible to win a prize.
