On the verge of having their conspiracy exposed, members of the US government's intelligence community will stop at nothing to erase all evidence of their top-secret programs. including the agents involved. Super-spy Aaron Cross must use his genetically engineered skills to survive the ultimate game of cat-and-mouse and finish what fellow undercover super-spy, Jason Bourne, started.

The story follows Cross' escape journey to Chicago, where he meets and rescues beautiful genetic scientist, Dr. Marta Shearing (Weisz), who is also scheduled for assassination. They flee to Manila, where they are hunted by Eric Byer (Norton), who is out to eliminate Aaron and all traces of Operation Outcome, the government program that produced him.
