It was scandalising the public in 1916
Picasso is regarded as a genius.
He had many affairs even with teenage girls.
All the above characters appear/ are referred to in the movie Midnight in Paris.
Carla Bruni acted in it(Former French pres,wife) Heminway was one of the characters and the period was La Bellle Epoque.

how does dawson fit in, i know je reviewed moulin rouge, did he also review midnight in paris ?

I thought it might have been Matisse as he also fits the movie and also  due to links with Hemingway, but will do some more proving on your suggested artwork
