By registering for Skywest's E-News to enter to win "A Pearler of Weekend in Broome" (“the Competition”) you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry.
2. WHO CAN ENTER
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2, entry is open to all Australian Residents who are 18+ and who fill in an online coupon for the Competition via
www.skywest.com.au indicating “Perth”, “Albany”, “Busselton”, “Esperance”, “Geraldton” or “Kalgoorlie” as their closest airport as part of the competition entry.
2.2 Employees and immediate families of Skywest Airlines, Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa, Linneys or Mercure and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The Competition commences on Monday 4th February 2013 2013 at 12:00am (Perth time) and concludes on Valentine’s Day, Thursday 14th February 2013 at 5:00pm (Perth time) (“Competition Period”).
3.2 All persons who fill in an online coupon for the Competition via the Skywest Airlines website are eligible to enter the Competition subject to clause 2.1 and 2.2.
3.3 Only one entry per person will be accepted into the draw.
4. PRIZES
4.1 There will be five (5) individual prize winners with one prize awarded from each geographical area of Perth, Albany and Busselton, Esperance, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie as per clause 4.2. In addition, one (1) of the five (5) prize winners drawn will also win the Linneys Pearls prize component as per clause 4.3.
4.2 Each of the five (5) prizes consists of:
Return Skywest flights from Perth to Broome for two (2) people (Departing Friday, Returning Sunday) inclusive of GST and applicable taxes
Two nights at Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa in a Garden View Studio Room overlooking the beautiful gardens
Transfers between Broome Airport and Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa
For prize winners departing from Albany and Busselton, Esperance, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie each prize will also include:
Return Skywest flights from either Albany and Busselton, Esperance, Geraldton or Kalgoorlie to Perth for two (2) people inclusive of GST and applicable taxes on closest available connecting flights to to connect with existing Perth to Broome flights departing Friday, returning Sunday.
Up to two nights accommodation at Mercure Perth including breakfast daily to accommodate winners between closest connecting flights from either Albany and Busselton, Esperance, Geraldton or Kalgoorlie to Perth and Perth to Broome flights. Mercure Perth accommodation will be based on the minimum day/s required either side of Perth to Broome flights departing Friday, returning Sunday with a maximum of two (2) nights in total.
To be eligible for the additional flights and accommodation listed in the two points above, entrants must indicate the closest airport within the online entry coupon and be available to travel from Albany, Busselton, Esperance, Geraldton or Kalgoorlie. Additional flights and accommodation excluded for winners departing from Perth.
4.3 One (1) of the five (5) prize winners as per clause 5.2 will also win the following in addition to the prize inclusions listed in Clause 4.2:
$1,500 to spend on stunning Linneys pearl jewellery at the Broome showroom
Private transfer by Linneys from Cable Beach Club Resort and Spa directly to the Linneys showroom in Broome to browse over a glass of sparkling wine.
4.4 Prize is valid for weekends only from 1 March 2013 to 30 June 2013, excluding 15-16 March 2013, Easter long weekend 29-30 March, or 21-22 June 2013, subject to availability at the time of booking. Linney’s gift voucher is non-transferrable for cash and can only be used in the Broome store – not redeemable at Subiaco, Burswood or Sydney stores. Linneys voucher expires 12 months from date of travel to Broome.
4.5 Each prize listed in clause 4.2 is valued up to $3,936.76, with the additional prize listed in 4.3 valued at $1,500.00. The total prize pool is valued up to approximately $18,817.37 (inc GST). Flights are valued at the applicable full economy fare inclusive of taxes and is correct at the date of printing. The Promoters accept no responsibility for change in prize value between now and the ultimate date on which the prize is collected by the winner. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses including, but not limited to extra accommodation, additional transfers, insurance, additional options and all ancillary costs in relation to the prize become the responsibility of the winner.
4.6 Prize winners will be issued with a letter confirming details of the prize won, including full conditions and instructions on how to book their flights. Prizes must be processed by Skywest Airlines – instructions will be advised as per clause 4.4.
4.7 In participating in the prize, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winners (and companions) agree to grant the Promoters a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners (and their companions) will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
4.8 The prize cannot be transferred nor redeemed for cash nor taken in parts. The winner should seek independent financial advice about any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings.
4.9 The winner must comply with all prize suppliers’ requirements.
5. HOW TO WIN
5.1 Each person who has completed an online coupon in accordance with clause 3.2 (“Qualifying Entrant”) will be entered into the prize draw. The prize draws will take place at Skywest Airlines Northbridge Administration Offices on Friday 15th February 2013.
5.2
The first four (4) Qualifying Entrants drawn at random (as per clause 5.1) will become the winners of the prize in accordance with clause 2.1 and 2.2. Only one prize winner from each destination (Perth, Albany and Busselton, Esperance, Geraldton and Kalgoorlie) will be eligible to win. The first prize winner drawn will also win one (1) of the five (5) prize winners drawn will also win the Linneys Pearls prize component as per clause 4.2.5.3 The winners will be notified by a phone call within two working days of the draw and issued with a letter confirming the details of their prize including associated conditions and instructions for redeeming the prize.
5.4 Results of the competition will be published in the next scheduled monthly email newsletter (Skywest News) sent within two (2) months of the competition being drawn.
5.5 The Promoters’ decision is final and the Promoters will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.
6. NO LIABILITY
6.1 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoters’ ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoters may in their absolute discretion cancel the Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
6.2 Skywest Airlines and their associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
6.3 Skywest Airlines and their associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur: a) during the draw; b) in participating in the Competition or a prize; c) in using any prize; d) any technical difficulties, technical error or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); or e) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, delay, defect, theft, unauthorised access or third party interference.
6.4 The Promoter reserves the right to reasonably amend or vary these terms and conditions at its sole discretion, orally or in writing.
6.5 The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
6.6 If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
