The Magnets: Homegrown
This is an evening of glorious harmonies and jaw-dropping beat boxing, celebrating five decades of British pop music from The Beatles and Led Zeppelin through to Adele. One of the break-through acts of the 2012 Adelaide Fringe and 2011 Cabaret Festival, this is a sonically stunning, spectacularly theatrical, totally cappella show.
Glory Dazed
Glory Dazed is a darkly comic look at the impact of war on returning soldiers, developed with ex-servicemen prisoners at HMP & YOI Doncaster. It was the winner of the Holden Street Theatres’ Edinburgh Award for 2012 and the BBC Alfred Bradley Award.
Angry Young Man
This multi-award winning play has become an international comedy hit, breaking Edinburgh box-office records and taking over the West End. It tells the story of Yuri, a brilliant Eastern European surgeon who arrives in London in search of work and a new life. Instead he meets Patrick, a young man offering help, friendship and a trip to the heart of the English countryside.
The Saints of British Rock
This musical theatre, mock-rockumentary sees fictional ‘60s megastars Rocco Hercules Somershire and Jib Frombroffitts sharing details of their 21st century revival with acclaimed biographer and television presenter, Sir James Douglas.

1. Information on how to enter and prize details form part of the conditions of entry.
2. All employees of the promoter and its related bodies corporate are ineligible to enter.
3. The competition commences on 20 February 2013 and finishes on 5 March 2013.
4. The competition consists of two (2) prizes in total. The winners will each receive a double pass for the following shows:
- Saints of British Rock, 11 March 2013, 8.00pm
- The Magnets, 12 March 2013, 8.20pm
- Glory Dazed 13 March 2013, 7.30pm
- Angry Young Man, 14 March 2013 6.00pm
5. The tickets are not transferable for any other show times or dates and cannot be exchanged or taken for cash.
6. The names of the winners will be listed at each performance venue. The winners can collect each of their tickets for Saints of British Rock, Glory Dazed and Angry Man from the door within an hour of the performance starting. Winners can collect their tickets to The Magnets from the main box office at the entrance to the Garden of Unearthly Delights within an hour of the performance starting.
7. Prize value is in Australian dollars. Individual prize value is $233.60. Total prize pool valued at $467.20.
8. Entry into this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
9. Only current financial RAA members are eligible to enter.
10. To enter, the entry form featured on the RAA competitions page (
www.raa.com.au/competitions) must be filled in.
11. The winner will be drawn through a random process.
12. All draws will take place at the RAA, 101 Richmond Rd, Mile End at 10am 6 March 2013.
13. The first entry drawn that fulfils the competition entry criteria will win the prize.
14. The winner will be notified by email, mail or phone within 14 days of the draw date.
15. The winner will be published in the Winter 2013 issue of samotor published on 22 May 2013.
16. The promoter’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
17. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not responsible or liable for:
(i) inaccurate / incorrect transcription of entry information;
(ii) purported entries that are not received for any reason, including because they are lost, misdirected or stolen, or that are received, but are late, illegible, incomplete, sent with insufficient postage (where entry is by post), or sent other than as directed in the entry instructions;
(iii) any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment, or software;
(iv) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website;
(v) unauthorised human intervention in any part of the competition;
(vi) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the competition;
(vii) any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to a prize winner and, where applicable, to any family/persons accompanying a winner; or
(viii) any injury or damage to persons or property, including to the participant's or any other person's computer related to, or resulting from, participation or downloading any materials in this competition.
18. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
