Registrations will open at 3:00pm (AEDT) on Friday 22 March 2013 and will close at 3:00pm (AEST) on Thursday 25 April 2013 (“Registration Period”).The Promoter reserves the right to extend the Registration Period at its own discretion.
Contesting will occur at specific times to be nominated by the Promoter between 7:00am (AEST) and 4:00pm (AEST), on specific days to be determined by the Promoter, from Monday 8 April 2013 to Friday 26 April 2013 inclusive (“Promotional Period”).An individual day during the Promotional Period is known as a “Contesting Day”.
Entry is available to permanent residents of:
- NSW (within the Sydney metropolitan telephone exchange area)
- Victoria
- Queensland
- South Australia
- Western Australia
Entrants must be aged eighteen (18) years or over and must have:
- No criminal record or outstanding convictions against their name
- A current Passport (refer to Item 14: Other Conditions for further details), or the ability to obtain one prior to the dates of travel, in line with
Government systems and processes
- Entrants must be able to satisfy any requirements as deemed necessary
for the purposes of travel to the destination (refer to Clause 25 of the conditions)
During the Registration Period, individuals will be required to register their details including but not limited to their name, date of birth, suburb, state email address and phone number, along with a response in fifty (50) words or less to the question (“Entry Question”) “Why would you like to bring back Summer?” at the Website (“Entry”).
Entries will be placed in a national pool in accordance with Item 9.
Should an Entrant’s response to the Entry Question exceed fifty (50) words, only the first fifty (50) words of the Entry will be judged.
In line with Item 9: Judging Details, throughout the Promotional Period, a minimum of fifty (50) Entrants will be selected to take part in the Promotional Period (“Contestant/s”).
Any one (1) individual may enter the competition more than once, but can only participate as a Contestant once (regardless of whether or not that Contestant wins a Prize).
Individuals will also be invited to download their “Snap Board” from the Website. Downloading the Snap Board is not a condition of Entry, but the Snap Board is a tool that may assist listeners in their attempts to track which Prizes are represented by which Cards, and which Prizes have already been rewarded versus which Prizes are still available to be won.
The Snap Board will portray eighty (80) separate cards (“Cards”), each identified by a unique number (for example, “Card 1”, “Card 17” etc).
Prior to the Promotional Period commencing, the Promoter will have assigned one (1) specific Prize (from the Prize Pool outlined in Item 11: Prize Details) to each of the Cards. There will be two (2) Cards assigned to each one (1) Prize. For example; Cards 3 and 29 would be the only two (2) Cards assigned to the prize of a trip to Fiji (example only).
At various times on each Contesting Day, the Promoter will put one (1) Contestant to air to play “$150,000 Holiday Snap” (“Contest”).
During the Contest, the Contestant will be asked to nominate two (2) Cards. The Promoter will then announce which Prize is represented by each of
those two (2) Cards. This announcement will be broadcast on-air.
Contestants are not able to nominate more than two (2) Cards to be revealed during any one (1) Contest. Each Contestant will have only one (1) chance to nominate the two (2) Cards they would like revealed. Contestants will not be able to change their nominated Cards once the associated Prizes have been revealed by the Promoter.
If, at the Promoter’s discretion, a Contestant is the first person to nominate two (2) Cards representing the same Prize, that Contestant will be awarded with the Prize represented by those Cards (“Winner”).
Once a Prize has been awarded, those two (2) Cards will be struck from the Snap Board, and that Prize will no longer be available to be won by any future Contestants.
If, at the Promoter’s discretion, a Contestant nominates two (2) Cards representing different Prizes (for example, if the two (2) Cards nominated by a Contestant are Card 33 representing a body board, and Card 4 representing a holiday to Fiji), that Contestant will not be awarded a Prize.
At the Promoter’s discretion, Contests may either be broadcast live to air, or may be pre-recorded off air, ready to be broadcast on air at a later time. Should more than one (1) Contest be pre-recorded at any given time (i.e. – if any previous Contest/s have not yet aired, and therefore a Contestant has not reasonably had the chance to hear any Card reveals on air before their turn to participate as a Contestant) the Promoter will reveal any such previously revealed Cards to that Contestant only, off-air, before that Contestant participates in the Contest.
The Promoter may, at their absolute discretion, broadcast any of the following clues (“Clues”) on various Contesting Days, either online (via the Website and/or any of the Promoter’s social media pages) and/or on-air:
- Clue/s as to the Prize/s assigned to any Card/s
- The actual Prize/s assigned to any Card/s
Any such Clues as listed above may be broadcast any time throughout the Promotional Period.
A Winner is not able to exchange their Prize for an alternative Prize from the Prize Pool.

given Wild Card is broadcast on TV and/or radio, during only the first one (1) Contest of that Contesting Day, the Contestant will have the option of nominating to use the Wild Card broadcast prior to Contesting. The Promoter/Announcer will ask the Contestant whether they saw, and / or heard, and/or know, the Prize represented by the previously broadcast Wild Card (“Wild Card Prize”). If the Contestant would like to use that Wild Card, the Contestant will need to:
1) Confirm to the Announcer/Promoter that they would like to use the Wild Card
2) Correctly identify the relevant Wild Card Prize – this can only the be Wild Card that was most recently broadcast on television or radio
The Contestant will only get one (1) chance to correctly identify the Wild Card Prize. If, at the Promoter’s discretion, the Contestant fails to correctly identify the Wild Card Prize, the Contestant will forfeit their chance to use it for that Contest.
If the Contestant does opt to use the Wild Card, and the Promoter is satisfied that the Contestant has correctly identified the Wild Card Prize, all that Contestant needs to do is correctly nominate one (1) Card on the Snap Board representing the same Prize as the Wild Card Prize (“Matching Card”), in order to win that Prize (“Winner”.)
If a Contestant does not choose a Matching Card on their first attempt, they will still be able to choose a second Card to reveal, just like in every other Contest.
If the Contestant does not choose a Matching Card on either attempt, they will not win the Prize represented by the Wild Card.
If the Contestant chooses a Matching Card on the first attempt, they will win that Prize and will not have the opportunity to reveal a second Card, and the second Card representing that Prize will also be struck from the Game.
If the Contestant chooses two Cards that match each other, but do not match the Wild Card (eg if the Wild Card represents a trip to Hawaii, but the two chosen Cards both represent a pair of board shorts) then the Contestant will be awarded the Prize represented by the two (2) matching Cards (“Winner”).
The Wild Card cannot be used in any subsequent Contests (unless the same Prize is again broadcast on a later date on television and/or the radio, in which case that Wild Card will apply to the first one (1) Contest of the following Contesting Day).
Judging will take place throughout the Registration Period and Promotional Period (“Judging Period”)at Fox FM, Level 2, 257 Clarendon Street, South Melbourne VIC 3205.
Throughout the Judging Period, a minimum of fifty (50) of the most creative/unique/entertaining Entries, as judged entirely at the Promoter’s discretion from the entire national pool of Entries, will each be selected to participate as a Contestant in line with Item 8: Method of Entry.
Throughout the Judging Period, the Promoter may at their absolute discretion contact some Entrants either via phone call and/or in writing, to further discuss the details of that person’s Entry.
