Do you have approval from your high school Principal to host this event in the event of winning? 1.Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these terms and conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
2.The promotion is open to all residents of Australia aged 15 years and over who currently attend a high school in any State or Territory of Australia. A âhigh schoolâ is defined as any State or Territory secondary educational body. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3.The entire promotion commences 7 May, 2013 and closes on 14 August 2013 at 11:59 AEST. There will be two parts to this promotion: (i) The âNomination Periodâ commences on 12.00 AEST on 7 May 2013 and closes 11:59 AEST on 17 July 2013; (ii) The âVoting Periodâ commences on 24 July 2013 at 12.00 AEST and closes on 14 August 2013 at 11:59 AEST.
4.To be eligible to enter, entrants must first obtain written approval from their high schoolâs principal to enter the competition. To enter the promotion, individuals must be during the nomination period,

Entrants must also upload a current photograph of themselves and provide an answer to the question in 25 words or less âWhat is your dream formal? And why should your school win?â
5.Without limiting the generality of the above, entries must not contain any material determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion to be obscene, offensive or inappropriate. The Promoter will review each response and photograph for suitability for entry into the promotion. The Promoter will then upload the response and photograph to appear in the Pimp My Formal tab if it is deemed suitable. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to refuse to accept any entry or remove any entry from display that it deems, in its absolute discretion, to be obscene, offensive or inappropriate, or infringing upon the rights of any third party.
6.The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrantâs identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
7.Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.
8.Only one (1) entry per person is permitted.
9.All approved entries will be displayed on the

10.Multiple votes are permitted, however each vote must be submitted separately and in accordance with voting requirements.
11.The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to invalidate any votes which it reasonably suspects have been submitted using false, incorrect, fraudulent or misleading information, including but not limited to personal details and contact information and/or votes that have been submitted through the use of multiple identities or email addresses.
12.At the conclusion of the voting period the ten (10) entries that obtain the ten (10) highest number of votes will be deemed as âfinalistsâ and will subject to judging.
13.In the event of a tie between any entries for a place, those tied entries will also be deemed as a finalist.
14.The judging will take place at the Promoterâs premises and will commence on 24 July 2013. The finalist entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the promoter. The winning entry as determined by the judges will be notified in writing and phone using the contact details provided in their entry. Upon winner notification the winner will be requested to provide their address and school address for official notification. The winnerâs nominated school will also be contacted via telephone and in writing.
15.At the time of finalist determination, each of the schools nominated in the finalist entries will be contacted by the Promoter. At that time, the promoter will request a copy of the school principalâs written approval to enter the competition. If the nominated school does not approve being entered into the competition, the entrantâs entry will be deemed invalid.
16.Judgesâ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the winners.
17.The judging criteria will be based on the literary and creative merit of the 25 word written submissions.
18.The best entry as determined by the judges will be deemed the major prize winner as per the judging criteria will receive the below as part of the major prize for the established formal venue (âMajor Prizeâ):
◦Pink carpet at the entry of the formal venue.
◦Photographers taking photos of school students entering the formal venue.
◦A celebrity band to play at the event.
◦A star DJ to play at the event.

As part of The Major Prize the individual entrant who submitted the winning entry will also win:

◦A stretch Hummer to drive the winner and up to 5 friends from the above nominated address to their formal event. 19.The celebrity band and star DJ will be determined by the Promoter. If in the case a member/s of a team, group or band are unavailable on the stipulated date the appearance by the team group or band or DJ will still go ahead without that member/s The time of which each performance will take place, will be determined by the promoter and the Band/DJ in its complete discretion. The time will be determined by the band/DJ schedule and other various factors at the time of booking date and cannot be guaranteed by the Promoter. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss incurred in the event that the appearance of the band or DJ is cancelled or unable to occur for any reason whatsoever.
20.All prizes must be taken in full to coincide with the winning entrantâs schools formal at the date specified at the time of entry.
21.The make-up artist and hairdresser will be determined by the Promoter in its complete discretion. This element of the prize will be subject to availability at the time of booking. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to book the make-up artist and hairdresser at a reasonable time on the day of the formal.
22.The photographer will be determined by the Promoter in its complete discretion. The booking time and appearance time of the photographer will be subject to the schedule of the photographer on the date specified for the formal.
23.Redemption of prizes is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. Prizes do not include any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize.
24.The winner and school are responsible for all other expenses including venue, spending money, meals, drinks, activities (unless specified), incidentals, energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, insurance and all other ancillary costs.
25.Any unused balance of any voucher or gift card will not be awarded as cash. Redemption of any voucher or gift card is subject to any terms and conditions of the issuer including those specified on the voucher or gift card.Vouchers are valid for six (6) months from the date of issue. Redemption of the voucher prizes are is subject to the terms and conditions stipulated on the voucher. The Promoter will not be liable for any voucher that has been lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way.
26.All prizes must be taken as offered. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed as cash. The prize is not valid in conjunction with any other offer. The prize is valued in Australian dollars. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of their prize. 28.In the event that for any reason whatsoever the Winner does not take the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize will be forfeited by the Winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of the prize.
29.In the event that a prize, or part of a prize, is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize or part of the prize in its discretion with an alternative prize or part of the prize to the same and equal recommended retail value and/or specification subject to any written directions from the various Lottery Departments.
30.The promoter is neither responsible nor liable for any late lost or misdirected mail (including but not limited to prizes).

Entrants warrant and agree that: (a) they will not submit any Content that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that the Promoter may deem in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, not suitable for children aged under 15, or otherwise unsuitable for publication; (b) they will obtain prior consent from any person or property that appears in their Content; (c) they will obtain full prior consent from any person who has jointly created or has any rights in the Content, to the uses and terms herein; (d) their Content shall not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity; and (e) they will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others' computer or communication systems.
35.Without limiting any other terms herein, each entrant indemnifies the Promoter, its franchisees and its associated agencies and companies for any breach of the above.
36.Entrants consent to the Promoter using the entrant's name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a winner (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
37.If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

40.All participating schools are liable for the safety of their students during the prize execution. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner or their school must sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.
41.The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this promotion are governed by the Privacy Notice (see Contents Page for location in this issue).
42.By entering the competition, the entrant consents to receipt of any email regarding the competition, and other emails which inform the entrant of the Promoterâs other publications, products, services and events and to promote third party goods and services it may be interested in. The information provided by the schools throughout this promotion will not be passed on to any other party except the promoter after this promotion is completed.
43.The laws of Australia apply to this promotion to the exclusion of any other law. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
