Your family could be heading to this year's Ekka for free, simply by signing up to receive TransLink's e-news, which provides the latest information and updates about public transport in South East Queensland.
Two lucky TransLink subscribers have the chance to win one of two ultimate family bundles to the Ekka valued at $230, including entry for two adults and two children, two adults' and kids' meals and drinks, and an $80 ride card.
TransLink Deputy Director-General Matt Longland said existing subscribers would automatically go into the draw and did not need to resubscribe to enter.
"Customers have from Tuesday 2 July until Monday 29 July to subscribe to e-news and to be eligible to win the family bundle," Mr Longland said.
"Winners will be notified by phone and email and will be published on the TransLink website, so make sure your contact details are up to date.
"TransLink News is free and contains the latest about infrastructure improvements on South East Queensland's public transport network, information about upcoming event transport, details of new or improved services, project updates and special offers.
"I encourage Ekka goers to avoid the hassles of driving and parking this year by leaving the car at home and catching public transport to the RNA Showgrounds.
"Almost 300,000 trips were taken to and from the RNA Showgrounds last year, making public transport a popular transport method.

Who can enter
3.1The Promotion is open to entrants who subscribe to receive TransLink e-newsletter at the TransLink website translink.com.au from Tuesday 2 July 2013.
3.2Employees, and their immediate families, of the TransLink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads Employing Office, the TransLink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads and its agents, contractors and sub-contractors are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. Immediate family, of a person, means the person's spouse and family members residing at the same premises as the person.
3.3The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and reserves the right to disqualify any individual entrant or group of entrants for submitting an entry which is not in accordance with these conditions of entry.
How to enter
The promotion runs from 6am (AEST) Tuesday 2 July 2013 to midnight (AEST) Monday 29 July 2013.
4.1In order to enter the Promotion, entrants must visit the TransLink website at translink.com.au, submit your name and email address using the web form. If you do not supply the information, your entry will be deemed invalid. You may only enter this competition once.
4.2 Existing subscribers will go automatically into the draw and do not need to enter.
4.3Any person who, in the opinion of the Promoter, tampers or interferes with the entry process in any way, or who does not properly comply with the entry process or these terms and conditions is not eligible to win.
4.4All online entry forms must be submitted by no later than midnight (AEST) Monday 29 July 2013.
Promotion
5.1To be eligible to win the prize, entrants must have signed up to receive TransLink e-newsletter on the TransLink website.
5.2Each entrant is limited to one entry.
5.3The Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland ("RNA Showgrounds") are giving away two ultimate family bundles (each contains entry for 2 adults & 2 kids, 2 main meals and 2 kids meals plus drinks, and an $80 ride card). The family bundles arevalued at $460) for "Ekka" anytime from 7 to 18 August 2013 at RNA Showgrounds.
5.4Prizes are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
5.5 Prize value is correct at time of printing but no responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of any prize items.
5.6By participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to be contacted by the TransLink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads and QPAC in relation to this Promotion.
5.7Entrants acknowledge that this is a one off Promotion and will not be conducted by the TransLink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads on a regular basis.
5.8 All details will be held in accordance with the TransLink Privacy Procedure which can be accessed at translink.com.au.
5.9A decision of the TransLink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads in relation to the Promotion, including a decision in relation to the prize draw, is final and the TransLink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads will not enter into correspondence regarding the Promotion.
Determination of winner and prize
6.1The prize draw will occur at Level 5, 88 Musk Ave, Kelvin Grove QLD 4059 on Friday 14 June 2013 at 1.30pm (AEST).
6.2The winner will be randomly selected from the valid entries received.
Winner
7.17.1The winner will be notified by TransLink. Details of the draw result will also be published on the TransLink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads website translink.com.au.
7.2TransLink will post the prize by mail.
7.3The promoter will redraw if a winner does not claim their prize or does not respond to contact by email within two (2) business days of the Competition draw date, the Promoter will redraw the prize winner until a contactable winner has been located and the prize has been claimed.
No liability
8.1Entrants are solely responsible for ensuring the correct email address is correctly keyed in and updated in TransLink's database.
8.2Online entry forms are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the Promoter's database. The Promoter is not responsible for receipt of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete information caused by an entrant or occurring during transmission. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, telephone or computer network, or lines, servers, or telephone or internet providers, traffic congestion on any phone or computer network, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other person's handset or computer related to or resulting from participation or sending or receiving of any communication or of any materials in this Promotion.
8.3In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event that prevents or significantly hinders the TransLink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads 's ability to proceed with the Promotion on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the TransLink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads may in its absolute discretion cancel the Promotion and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to State Legislation.
8.4The TransLink Division, Department of Transport and Main Roads, its employees, agents, contractors and sub-contractors will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
General
9.1You agree to be contacted by the Promoters about the promotion and to participate in the Promoter's publicity activities as reasonably requested, including being photographed by the Promoter for use by the Promoter in future marketing and promotional activities, without any fee being paid to you.
