“7 News Stick and Win” promotion TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By entering the 7News Stick and Win promotion (“the Competition”), you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
1. STANDARD TERMS
1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms and conditions of entry.
2. WHO CAN ENTER?
2.1 Subject to clause 2.2 and 2.3, entry is open to all residents of Queensland where the Channel Seven signal is received.
2.2 Employees and their immediate families of the Seven Network (Operations) Ltd, bmag and Tyrepower and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.
2.3 All entrants must be at least 18 years of age. If a winner of the prize is under the age of 18 as at the date of the draw, the prize will be awarded to the winners’ parent or legal guardian.
2.4 All entrants are subject to standard Tyrepower underwriting acceptance guidelines.
3. HOW TO ENTER
3.1 The Competition commences on Tuesday July 9th (AEST) and concludes on Friday November 29th 2013 (21 weeks) (“the Competition Period”).
3.2 In order to enter, viewers must refer to bmag’s Tuesday July 9th edition. Entrants must then locate the 7 News sticker in the bmag and place the sticker on their car’s rear window in a position which is prominent, but compliant with all road rules stipulated by the Department of Transport and Main Roads. If the entry (i.e. the displayed sticker) is spotted in the South east Queensland region – which includes areas from Maroochydore to Brisbane and the Gold Coast, he or she will be in with a chance to win the prize. The winner must have a Queensland registered number plate.
3.3 By displaying the 7 News sticker on his or her car, entrants are agreeing to the privacy terms stipulated in the Competition advertisement published in bmag edition on Tuesday July 9th which permits Seven to display the number plate of their car (registration number) in a competition spot broadcast within 7 News. The entrant agrees to release all liability to the Promoter and Sponsor in relation to the display of the sticker on his or her vehicle.
3.4 To find out whether an entrant has been selected by 7 News camera crew, he or she must watch 7 News each Thursday within the Competition Period from 6.00pm to see if their number plate is displayed within a competition spot broadcast within 7 News. The individual whose number plate is displayed in the program, will be deemed the winner, and will be instructed in the competition segment (which is broadcast within or adjacent to the 6pm 7 News program either visually or verbally) to telephone the switch phone number (07) 3369 7777 to claim their prize, within seven days of the broadcast notification. Callers who fail to contact the Network to claim their prize within seven days (before the next Thursday night’s winner announcement) will be treated as forfeited and no compensation will be granted.
3.5 There is no cost to entering this Competition, apart from the phone call to Seven Switch phone number. Calls to the Seven switch telephone number detailed in clause 3.4 will be charged at local rate when phoning within Queensland. These costs are the sole responsibility of the winner.
3.6 Each winner grants the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use their entries in all media worldwide and the winners will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
4. PRIZES & HOW TO WIN
4.1 There will be one (1) winner selected each week by the 7 News Crew, out of all entrants who display the 7 News sticker on their vehicle. The sticker must be displayed on the car up until the date of the winner notification. There will be a total of twenty (21) winners selected during the Competition Period. Each entrant who has entered the Competition over the Competition Period and entered in accordance with clause 3 (“Qualifying Entrant”) will be eligible to win the prize on the condition that they contact Channel Seven within the period described in clause 3.4 above to claim their prize.
4.2 Each winner’s number plate/ south east Queensland registration, spotted within south east Queensland region, will be presented on screen in a competition spot broadcast within 7 News as described in clause 3.3 above to notify the entrants of the deemed winner. This notification will advise that the winner must contact Seven in accordance with clause 3.4 of these terms to claim the prize. The owner of the vehicle with the 7 news sticker placed on the vehicle, will be deemed to be the prize winner, regardless of who physically placed the sticker on the car. Each winner must be able to provide their registration certificate as proof of vehicle ownership, in order to claim this prize.
4.2 The winners will each win one (1) $1,000 Tyrepower voucher.
4.3 The promoter accepts no responsibility for change in price value between now and the ultimate date which the prize was taken. Unless expressly stated in these terms and conditions all other expenses or fees become the responsibility of the winner. Winners should seek independent financial advice about any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings.
4.4 The winners are responsible for all other expenses including but not limited to redeeming this prize. Once the winner has claimed their prize, all dealings related to the prize, they must deal directly with Tyrepower.
4.5 In participating in the prizes, the winners agree to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the Competition, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winners (and their companions) agree to granting the Promoter a perpetual and exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide and the winners (and their companions) will not be entitled to any fee for such use
4.6 The winners agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation.
4.7 Prizes cannot be transferred and not redeemed for cash. Winners should seek independent financial advice about any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. In the event that the 7 News crew does not locate any cars which display the sticker, the Promoter may extend the Competition, or come to another reasonable solution to provide entrants with a further opportunity to win the prize.

4.9 If a winning entry is discovered to be invalid, this winning entry will be forfeited. The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result. The Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, deem a winning entry invalid after the broadcast of the licence plate/registration if it is discovered the entrant did not enter the Competition in accordance with these terms and conditions.
5. NO LIABILITY
5.1 The Seven Network (Operations) Ltd & affiliates, bmag and their associated agencies and
companies associated with this promotion, will take no responsibility for prizes.
5.2 The Seven Network (Operations) Ltd & affiliates and their associated employees, agencies and companies associated with this promotion will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim, damages, costs and expenses suffered,
sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential) as a result of, or arising out of, or in any way connected with this Promotion and/or its prizes that may occur:
(a) during the draw;
(b) in the participation of the competition or in acceptance or use any prize;
(c) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;
(d) due to the broadcast of any program relating to the Competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compeer, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;
(e) arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines or mobile communications network related to or resulting from participation in this promotion; or
(f) due to circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.
5.3 Subject to state government legislation, in the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the Competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the Competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
