South Bank’s Festival Fever Instagram Competition
By entering this competition, you acknowledge and accept the following terms and conditions:
Promoter means South Bank Corporation ABN 95 927 817 538, Ground Floor, South Bank House, Stanley Street Plaza, Brisbane Qld 4101.
Festival means the Brisbane Festival 2013 held in Brisbane from 7 to 28 September 2013.
Prize means one of three $250 dining vouchers at South Bank Surf Club, South Bank Parklands.
visitsouthbank is a domain name and Instagram account owned by the Promoter.
southbanksurfclub is a domain name and Instagram account owned by South Bank Surf Club Inc ABN 27 360 485 381.
Who can enter
1. Entry is open to everyone except the directors, management and employees of the Promoter and any agencies, firms or companies associated with the competition (including suppliers of the prizes) and their immediate families.
How to enter
2. Firstly, you must follow both the South Bank Surf Club’s @southbanksurfclub Instagram account and the Promoter’s @visitsouthbank Instagram account.
3. Secondly, snap a creative photo of you enjoying the Festival and tag it #sbfestivalfever.
When to enter
4. The weekly competition runs for 3 weeks. It starts when the Brisbane Festival begins on 7 September 2013 and finishes when the Festival closes on 28 September 2013.
Selection of each weekly winner
5. Entries received in the first week of the Festival, from 7 to 13 September, will be judged on Monday 16 September.
6. Entries received in the second week of the Festival, from 14 to 20 September, will be judged on Monday 23 September.
7. Entries received in the third week of the Festival, from 21 to 28 September, will be judged on Monday 30 September.
8. You may submit as many entries as you like during any week of the Festival. Entries lodged in one week do not carry over to the next week.
9. Entries will be judged by a panel selected by the Promoter. The prize winner will be the entry considered the most creative in the absolute discretion of the panel.
10. Judging will take place in private at South Bank House. The decision of the panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11. Each prize winner will be notified by email by 5pm on the day of judging. The winner must collect the dining voucher from the Promoter at South Bank House within 1 month of notification, or the prize lapses.
12. The dining voucher must be used at South Bank Surf Club by 30 November 2013, or the prize lapses.
Your warranties
13. By entering the Competition, you warrant to the Promoter that:
a. The details contained in your entry are true and correct;
b. You have the legal ability to accept these terms and conditions and to grant the rights contained in these terms and conditions to the Promoter; and
c. If the Promoter exercises the rights contained in these terms and conditions (for example, by publishing your entry), it will not infringe the rights of any third parties.
14. You indemnify the Promoter against any loss, damage or claim for compensation resulting from your breach of any of these warranties or these terms and conditions.
General terms
15. Each prize is not transferable, negotiable or redeemable for cash. If the winner is under the age of 18, no alcohol will be provided as part of the prize.
16. Any person who, in the opinion of the Promoter, tampers or interferes with the entry process in any way, or who does not properly comply with the entry process or these terms and conditions, is not eligible to win.
17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or for any technical difficulties or periods of unavailability of the entry mechanism.
18. An entry must not contain offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or other socially undesirable material. The Promoter may reject such an entry in its absolute discretion without giving reasons.
19. Subject to the Promoter’s privacy policy at
www.southbankcorporation.com.au/privacy, you agree that the Promoter can use your entry and personal details for the Promoter’s promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media without further notice and without any fee being paid to you.
20. If you win, you agree to participate in the Promoter’s publicity activities as reasonably requested, including being photographed by the Promoter for use in future marketing and promotional activities, without any fee being paid to you.
21. By submitting your entry you agree that your details will be entered into and registered on the Promoter’s Instagram account and the South Bank Surf Club’s Instagram account so that you can receive regular updates, marketing and promotional material. There is no fee for this subscription.
