Antarctic Peninsula Adventure
After spending 10 nights exploring this wonderful part of the world, there is no doubt you will leave Antarctica with a completely different perspective than when you arrived. After all, it is impossible to feel quite the same after gazing upon an unimaginable profusion of penguins tobogganing and waddling their way across the snow (Adelie, Chinstrap & Gentoo) – or watching yet another species of whale crest the waves in close proximity. And then there is the awe you feel when you first glimpse the sweeping ice sheet that spans an entire continent. Antarctica gets under your skin unlike any other place on earth!
This voyage has the added benefit of greater chances of viewing Humpback, Minke and Orca whales along the Antarctic Peninsula. Two return international economy class flights as detailed (ex-Sydney only). If the winner is not from Sydney the winner will be responsible for making their own way to Sydney International airport. Airport transfers in South America (not in Australia) and accommodation (twin share) in Buenos Aires and Ushuaia as detailed. One Superior cabin (twin share) for two people on 16 March 2014 departure of Antarctic Peninsula Adventure aboard the ‘Akademik Sergey Vavilov’. All meals and activities while aboard the Antarctic cruise. Accommodation with breakfast at hotels in Buenos Aires and Ushuaia.
NOT INCLUDED:
Domestic flights to Sydney (if interstate), spending money, travel insurance, items of a personal nature, meals not detailed in the itinerary, laundry, visas (if required), Argentina reciprocity fee US$100 (Australian passport-holders)
Competition Rules
The promoter is South America Travel Centre Pty Ltd (established 1996) trading as Antarctica Travel Centre.
The Competition opens Tuesday 29th October 2013 and closes Midnight Sunday 10th November 2013. Entries will be judged and drawn on Monday 11th November 2013. The winning entrant will be called and emailed within 7 days of the best answer being selected. All entrants will be emailed the results of the competition.
Entrants must provide their name, email, day time phone number and answer the question in 30 words or less.
Entrants must have had a valid Fairfax subscription prior to Tuesday 29th October 2013 to be eligible to enter.
Only one entry per person.
The prize and associated arrangements commence at Sydney International Airport on Day 1 of the detailed itinerary. The holiday is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Winners must agree to Antarctica Travel Centre Terms and Conditions and complete a Booking Form and a Medical Form; winners must be 18 years or older. Winners must obtain appropriate travel insurance and purchase the Argentine Reciprocity fee online.
Promoter will not be held liable for any incident arising from the entrant taking part in the competition or prize. Promoter will not be held liable if the trip is rescheduled for reasons out of their control.
It is a requirement of joining the Antarctic voyage that the winners complete a Medical Form: Antarctica Travel Centre reserves the right to deny passage to any traveller on reasonable medical grounds.
The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered in to.
