Specific Terms & Conditions: Win Return Business Class Airfares to Paris for Two
Contest:
The promotional period is from Monday 11th November – Monday 25th November, 9am.
Entrants must be over 18 years of age.
Only ONE entry per person will be permitted.
To enter, listeners must head to the competitions page at 2GB.com and fill in an entry form.
From Monday 18th November – Friday 22nd November, Alan Jones will announce one listeners name live on-air. All five contestants’ names will then go into the major prize draw on Monday 25th November, 2013.
Entries close Thursday 21st November at 5:00pm
Alan Jones will announce the major prize winner during his Breakfast programme between 06:00am and 09:00am on Monday 25th November, 2013.
Prize:
Return Business Class tickets for two people to Paris, flying Malaysia Airlines (including taxes).
Prize is valued at approx $11,000
Prize is non-transferable, non-changeable and is not redeemable for cash.
Malaysia Airlines Specific Terms and Conditions
All passenger tickets issued in pursuance of the Contra Account shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:
Tickets are to be issued against duly authorised MAS Air Transport Request (ATR) by Malaysia Airlines, Sydney.
Tickets issued are valid for travel only on Malaysia Airlines either for a return journey from Sydney to Paris via Kuala Lumpur in both directions.
Tickets/Airway Bills foe excess baggage charges/cargo are excluded from this agreement;
Tickets are not transferred, assigned or be the subject of a refund in cash; and
Cancellation will not be entertained expect on reasonable grounds to be determined by MAS.
Prize winner and selected travel partner must travel together throughout the entire journey.
Tickets will be subject to space availability and will not accrue Enrich Frequent Flyer Miles.
These tickets are base on seasonal rates and are valid for travel in the classes/routing specified in paragraph item 2 above only. Tickets cannot be utilised during school holidays, December, January, June and July.
Reservations must be made minimum one month prior to departure.
The value of these tickets shall not exceed the amount of the contra agreed to in this agreement and in the circumstances where it exceeds, the excess shall be paid for in cash at our ticketing counter.
It is hereby mutually agreed that on and after the expiry date of the agreement, our liability to you shall cease forthwith notwithstanding any balance that may still be outstanding to your credit in the Contra Account and you will not be entitled to claim a refund hereto.
This contract is valid 26 November – 25 November 2014 unless otherwise renewed in writing b either party at least 3 months prior t the expiry date.
General:
These terms and conditions will be available to view at 2gb.com during the time of their validity.
Only ONE entry per person will be permitted.
Only one minor prize can be won by any one listener OR a member of the same family within a THREE week period.
Only one prize can be won per household within a THREE week period.
Only one prize can be won by a member of an immediate family within a THREE week period.
Only one major prize can be won in a competition conducted by either 2GB or 2CH by any one listener within a twelve month period.
For any end of week draw, only one entry per person will be accepted.
A major prize is that worth over $1,000 unless otherwise specified in an additional permit.
Where specified, prizes may need to be collected from the studios/office of Radio 2GB.
All winners contact details are retained for administrative purposes only.
No information will be disclosed to anyone outside 2GB.
Every effort is made by 2GB to send all prizes out by mail and should be received within three weeks of the entrant winning.
Once the prize has left the offices of Radio 2GB we hold no responsibility regarding breakages or loss of parcel. In case of lost mail the winner will need to liaise directly with their local post office.
Subject to any written direction given under State Regulation, if the prize is not available due to unforeseen circumstances Radio 2GB reserves the right to exchange the prize for something of equal value.
Judges decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
Winners cannot exchange prizes for cash or for any other prize.
Current Employees of the Macquarie Radio Network and their immediate families and group companies and any other company associated to the specific competition are not eligible to enter the competitions.
Unless otherwise advised, only residents of the 2GB listening area in New South Wales are eligible to enter competitions and win prizes.
Radio 2GB reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the promoter.
All contestants release from, and indemnify 2GB and the Macquarie Radio Network against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of accepting the prize or participation in the competition including but not limited to loss of income and personal injury.
If the winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize may be awarded to the winner’s parent or guardian.
Radio 2GB has the right to bar competition winners who they deem have broken the rules of the general prize giveaways for a period of up to three months. The winner will be advised of this in writing after the entrant has been disqualified.
In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.
At no time will Radio 2GB be held responsible for faults or drop outs in telephony or other IT communication in relation to on-air and 2GB.com contesting, whether in the contestants device or connection or Radio 2GB’s device or connection. In such an instance, no compensatory prizes or allowance will be made.
Subject to any written direction given under State Regulation, Radio 2GB may at any time and in its absolute discretion alter, amend, add to, waive or enforce the General Competition Rules and any Specific Competition Rules with present, future or antecedent effect as it sees fit.
All prize winners may be required by Radio 2GB in its absolute discretion to:
Participate in promotional activities for the benefit of Radio 2GB.
That he or she will not, without prior written consent of Radio 2GB (which maybe with held in its absolute discretion) participate in any other media activities, promotions for the purpose of or which involve discussion, commenting on, expressing a view on the account of the competition
In promotional activities the winner will refrain from expressing a negative or disparate view of Radio 2GB or parent company the Macquarie Radio Network and its operations and related bodies.
The winner acknowledges and agrees that Radio 2GB has the right to all materials generated in connection with the promotion and can use the material in any medium and in any manner it sees fit.
Radio 2GB will also hold the copyright to any photographs, video footage or written comment taken for publicity purposes and can use these items in any promotional material for the time period of five years.
Competition winners agree to keep confidential any knowledge of Radio 2GB and its business and personnel received by them as a result of the competition.
Use of false name or address, i.e. name by which the entrant is not usually known will disqualify them from receiving the prize.
Acceptance of the prize is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
All correspondence regarding prizes must be in writing to the Promotions Department at Radio 2GB. All correspondence will be answered within a three week period.
Subject to any written direction given under State Regulation, notwithstanding any other condition of these specific competition rules, Radio 2GB reserves the right to withdraw the competition at any time and for any reason whatsoever.
The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
