Terms and Conditions

1.Information on prizes and how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions of entry. Entry is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.

2.The Promoter is the Queensland Performing Arts Trust, ABN 13 967 571 128, of Queensland Cultural Centre, South Bank Qld 4101.

3.The only persons who may enter and be awarded prizes if they win are those who (i) are Queensland residents (ii) are over the age of 18 (iii) are not (a) employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter or any of its agencies involved with this competition, or (b) members of the immediate family of any such employees or contractors. "Immediate family" means spouse, defacto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), whether or not they live in the same household as the employee/contractor.

4.If compulsory detail fields on the entry form are not complete or are incomprehensible, your entry is not valid. A person can only submit one entry form.

5.The competition commences Thursday 17 April 2014 and closes Midnight AEST Thursday 24 April 2014. Entries received after this closing date will not be accepted.

6.The draw will take place at 10:00am AEST on Monday 28 April 2014 at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, South Bank. The winner will be notified by email.

7.The winner will be chosen at random from the competition entries.

8.The winner must, at the Promoter's request, participate in any promotional activities (such as photography) surrounding the winning of the prize, free of charge, and consents to the Promoter using their name and image in any associated promotional material.

9.The winner/s will receive: •High tea for two at Treasury's Heritage Hotel on Saturday 10 May 2014

10.The total prize value of the promotion is $132 (includes GST and fees). This figure is the retail value as provided by the suppliers and is correct at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize values.

11.The prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. The Promoter is not responsible for any costs incurred by the prize winner in accepting the prize. The prize winner (and his/her companion/s) are responsible for all other expenses including travel, spending money, meals (unless specified), drinks (unless specified), transfers, laundry charges, activities incidentals, taxes (including departure taxes, energy surcharges, gratuities, services charges, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

12.Should the winner not be able to redeem the prize in full the prizes are not redeemable for cash, not transferable to any other person, and cannot be exchanged for vouchers except as provided in these terms and conditions.

13.The prize is valid for two (2) people and must be used on Saturday 10 May 2014.

14.If the Promoter is unable to supply the nominated prize or any part thereof, the Promoter reserves the right, subject to the written directions of any competent authority, to supply another prize of greater or equal value. In the event that, for any reason whatsoever, the prize winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.

15.If the prize winner is under the age of 18, the competition will be redrawn.

16.The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prizes are not redeemable for cash and are not transferable to any other person.

17.The winner will be notified by email.

18.Entrants can only enter in their own name. The Promoter reserves the right to request all entrants to produce (within the requested time) appropriate photo identification or other documentation (to the Promoter's satisfaction, at its sole discretion) in order to confirm each entrant's identity, age, residential address and email address and eligibility to enter before issuing the prize. If the documentation required by the Promoter is not received by the Promoter (or its nominated agent) or an entry has not been verified or validated to the Promoter's satisfaction within the time requested, that entry will become invalid.

19.If the prize is not accepted, claimed or validated by 10:00am Friday 2 May 2014 the relevant winner's entry will be deemed invalid. In the event that the winning entry is deemed to be invalid in accordance with these conditions of entry, the Promoter reserves the right to conduct such further draws at 10:00am on Friday 2 May 2014 at the same location as the original draw as are necessary to award the prize to a valid entry, subject to any written directions given by any relevant authority.

20.The Promoter may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person who tampers with or benefits from any tampering with the entry process or with the operation of the competition or acts in violation of these conditions, acts in a disruptive manner or acts with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

21.No responsibility will be taken for any lost, damaged, or misdirected entry forms. All online registrations are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the promoter's database, and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.

22.The winners of this promotion agree to allow their names and/or photograph to be used in conjunction with any advertising or promotion for, on behalf of, or at the direction of the Promoter.

23.All entries become the property of the Promoter and may be entered into a database and used for the Promoter's marketing, promotional and publicity purposes. The Promoter respects your privacy rights and will only use your personal information as indicated. You may request access at any time to personal information held by the Promoter about you.

24.The Promoter and each of its related bodies corporate and associated agencies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence), arising either directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the prize or the promotion, or using any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law) .

25.The way we manage your personal information is governed by Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld) (Act) and the Information Privacy Principles (IPPs) established under the Act.
