All mothers love flowers: FACT. If your mum says otherwise, tackle her to the floor and tear off her wig because she is probably a man, man. But de-wigging aside, the real aim of this game is to win two seats to the Brekkie & Blooms (Mother’s Day Edition) workshop by the creative bunch at Maker’s Society.
They hooked us with flowers then reeled us in with the mention of breakfast, so we are really excited to give away two spots to this flower workshop for one lucky duck – bring your friend and each make a bouquet to give to your respective mums, or bring your mum with you to spend some quality time learning ninja arranging skills together (and lock down the medal for favourite child this year).
Happening on May 10 at The Hop & Grain in Enmore, the workshop kicks off with a feast of Bourke St Bakery croissants and jam by Cornersmith, fresh juice, tea and coffee, and a fruit platter to get all your vitamins in order and your creativity levels boosted to MARTHA STEWART for your next task: making a posy of blooms sourced fresh from the flower markets. Not only will you pick up the know-how, you’ll also get a vessel to take your posy home in, a pair of florist scissors to maintain your stems for longevity, and let’s not forget the now thrice-mentioned breakfast spread.
