Win tickets to Play! Kids Fest at the Immigration Museum




Toys and games from across the world will come to the Immigration Museum this school holidays for a one-day event on Sunday 6 July.

From Babushka dolls to hula hoops, there will be something for kids of all ages, as well as forand parents looking for a trip down memory lane.
Kids will have the opportunity to get involved in fun workshops and performances, including Nikki Ashby Aboriginal hip hop dancing workshops, King Marong African Drumming, and an interactive Punch and Judy puppet show.

Indoor Activities:

     Babushka doll making
     Paper kite making
     Reading stories and learning funny kids chants and rhymes
     Board games
     Traditional children’s games (knucklebones, elastics, marbles etc)

Outdoor games (weather permitting)

     Skipping rope
     Hula hoops
     Bucket stilts
     Bocce/petanque
     Hopscotch
     Large elastics

Play! Kids Fest is a part of a larger school holiday program at Immigration museum called Toys and Games from Many Cultures, running from 28 June to 13 July.

Other activities over the school holidays include kite making and stories telling.
