1. To enter complete the online entry form as directed from AEST 2pm AEST Monday June
23 through to 10am AEST Monday June 30, 2014.
2. This promotion is open only to Australian residents with the exception of those related to
employees of the Promoter, their families, agents and anyone else connected with this
promotion. The Promoter, Penguin Books Australia accepts no liability for any problems or
technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on–line systems, servers,
or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems and/or traffic congestion
on telephone networks or lines that cause late or delayed entries, or for any lost and/or
misdirected entries not received by the closing date.
3. Competition judging will commence at 10am AEST Monday June 30, 2014 at Penguin
Books Australia, 707 Collins Street, Melbourne Victoria, 3008. Please note the winners only
will be notified.
4. Three winning entries will each receive a copy of Where Song Began by Tim Low
($32.99rrp); What Came Before by Anna George, A Morbid Habit by Annie Hauxwell, Living

Edwards (valued at $9.99rrp). Each prize is valued at $194.94rrp and the total value of prizes
on offer is $584.82rrp.
5. The winners will be notified by email. You must claim your prize within 14 days after we
notify you.
6. Your prize will be sent to you within 28 working days after claiming the prize.
7. Winners will be determined by random draw. The judge’s decision is final and no
correspondence will be entered into.
8. All entries become the property of Penguin Books Australia.
9. Pearson accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or misdirected prizes.
10. Participation is not transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other goods or
services. If for any reason the promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter
reserves the right in its discretion (subject always to any direction given by a relevant gaming
or lotteries authority) to cancel, terminate, extend, modify or suspend the promotion. The
Promoter may in its discretion disqualify any individual who tampers or interferes with the
participation process.
11. The personal information you submit as a participant will be collected by the Promoter,

13. Each participant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions. Except for any

agents) excludes all liability (including without limitation negligence), for any loss or damage;
whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion.
14. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
