For the first time ever on giant screens, “D-Day 3D: Normandy 1944” provides a new perspective to audiences of all ages of this monumental event that changed the world.
D-DAY: NORMANDY 1944 is a large format documentary produced entirely in 3D that provides a new, penetrating look at this moment in history in a unique manner to both teach and remind audiences of the largest-ever Allied operation and its lasting effect on the world.
D-Day itself is well-known, yet very few people are aware of exactly why and how, during 100 days in the summer of 1944, Normandy became the most important place in the world.
Regardless of nationality, virtually everyone today has a connection to WWII, and this film will provide valuable insight into the decisions made and action taken on this famous day in world history.
Narrated by Tom Brokaw, D-Day 3D has been made using a variety of mediums including animated cartography, archived images, live action reenactments, spectacular CGI images and aerial shooting.
D-Day 3D will release at IMAX Darling Harbour on 4 September 2014. The Retiree has three double passes to give away.
