Welcome to the first of our annual Photo Competitions, where your best images can win you two nights in a Rainforest Canopy Bungalow with a complimentary bottle of champagne to help you celebrate!
Our competitions will run from 1st January to 31st December each year, but as so many wonderful images have been taken already, we're opening this year's competition to photos from all our current and past guests to date.
So you have until 31st December 2014 to send us up to 3 fantastic images you've taken at the Retreat – and you could win a tropical rainforest holiday!
Each image file should be an RGB JPEG ideally with 1500 pixels on the longer side.
Maximum file size per image is 1 megabyte. Please do not send us large files!
Send up to a maximum of 3 images per person per visit.

Terms and conditions
Entry in this competition means you have read and understood the following:
By submitting photos into the 2014 Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat Photo Competition ("Competition") you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
The Competition opened on 15 June 2014 and closes at midnight on 31st December 2014.
The Competition will be open to all the guests who have ever stayed at the Retreat up to and including 31st December 2014.
The photos must be taken within the property that is Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat.
Each entrant can enter a maximum of 3 photos per visit, i.e. a maximum of six photos per couple, per visit to Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat.
Number of photos submitted is not a factor in the competition. Each image will be assessed on its individual photographic merits.

Preferably a short caption for each image.
First name, surname and state (e.g. Jane Smith, QLD) will be published with the entries.
Each image file should be an RGB JPEG of 1MB or less in size. Ideal dimensions are 1500 pixels on the longer side. Please do NOT send us larger files as we are not in a broadband internet area.
Only digital image files of the specified format will be accepted; hard-copy photographs are not eligible.
Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat will have the right to use and display the photos submitted for the Competition:

Please expect up to 3 working days for the submitted photos to appear on our website.
The popularity of photos on our Facebook page will be one of the criteria used to judge the Competition.
We are happy to credit the photos wherever practicable but will not be bound to do this in all uses.
It is a condition of the submission of any photo into the Competition that any person portrayed in the shot has given their explicit consent to the entrant for their likeness to be displayed in the Competition and used in the ways mentioned above. Although we will act on any complaint by removing and disqualifying the offending images from the competition, Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat will not be held responsible for any claims made about infringement of privacy by persons in the photos submitted.
Photos assessed as containing offensive, or potentially offensive, material will be disqualified from entry into the Competition and will not be displayed on the site.
The judges' subjective decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into about that decision.
The photo judged best of the Competition will win two nights for two people at Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat in a Rainforest Canopy Bungalow with a complimentary bottle of champagne.
The prize of those two nights can be used any time within 12 months from notification of the award, and must be taken in person by the winner and a companion.
The prize is the specified accommodation only; it does not include meals or travel to and from the Retreat.
The winner will be notified personally using the contact details provided with their entry, as well as being announced on the Photo Competition page and in our Summer newsletter in January.
