We were asked to review the uh-oh! Hooded towel top for kids, we took it out to Moololaba beach yesterday for a trial run.
The water was cool and the wind was making my little cold when got out of the water, he was shivering poor kid. I quickly threw on the uh-oh! Hooded towel to keep him warm as it covers up his whole body and there is no gap like with a towel it helped to keep the heat in. having a hood was a bonus as this also worked well at keeping heat in.
Due to the nature of the temps this early in the season, we did need to throw another towel over him to keep him warm as the hooded towel was so wet and there was a cool wind.
I liked the fact that it didn’t hinder him playing in the sand with his brother as wasn’t dragging a towel through the sand that didn’t cover him completely.
It even has pockets on the front to keep his little hands warm. It is lightweight cotton/polly blend and not as heavy as your standard beach towel. It soaks up the water just as well.
For the summer this is a perfect towel for kids who can’t hold a towel around them easily, it’s more like a shirt than a towel so does cover more of the body than the hooded towels at your local shops.
