Brisbane Square, at the top of Queen Street Mall, is now a diner’s delight, a gathering place and home to four new and exciting dining options. To celebrate the opening Visit Brisbane is giving away one dinner for four at Communal Bar & Eat House and one dinner for four at Chow Down (each to the value of $250)!

Communal Bar & Eat House

Inspired by gastro-pubs and putting pay to its namesake, Communal seats 200 and features long shared tables, 24 beers and four wines on tap, a yellow-tiled Italian wood-fired oven and private cocktail bar.  The kitchen is headed by Ben Limpus with the speciality being shared plates and wood-fired pizzas, together with a very cool selection of burgers, and dishes from the flare grill. It’s a gathering place for people from all walks, with a real sense of place.

Chow Down

With superb street art adorning the walls, Chow Down is celebrating the colour and flavours of Asia. Paying tribute to Asian street food in fantastic style, the kitchen is led by Tuan Nyugen, formerly of Fusion 54 in Fortitude Valley and it is on full throttle. Chow Down operates seven days and the menu ranges from dumplings to sashimi to the signature XO crab fried rice.

1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the competition conditions.

2. Competition entry is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

3. Prize:
a) Go in the draw to win 1 of 2 dinner and drinks for 4 people to the value of $250 at i) Communal Bar & Eat House or ii) Chow Down
b) The prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
c) Limit of one prize per person.
d) Any additional expenses incurred by the prize winners, other than those outlined in these terms and conditions, are the responsibility of the winners. Prize winners are themselves subject to the specific terms and conditions of the providers.

4. Competition period: The competition commences 17 December 2014 and closes at 4pm 5 January 2015.

5. How to enter: Complete the entry form by providing full name, email address and postcode.

6. Eligibility: To be eligible to enter this competition a person must: a) Be a permanent resident of the State of Queensland b) Not be an employee or contracted staff of Brisbane Marketing, a sub-unit of administration of the Promoter; and c) Be over the age of 18 (proof of age may be required to receive prize) or have the consent of one of his or her parents or guardians to enter the competition.

7. Competition Draw: The winners will be drawn at random. The decision shall be conclusive and no correspondence will be entered into. The drawing of the prizes will be conducted at Brisbane Marketing at 157 Ann St Brisbane QLD 4000.

8. Winner Notification: Winners will be notified by email at 4.30pm 5 January 2015. If no reply email is received within one working day the prize will be redrawn.

9. Brisbane Marketing will post the prize to the winner via registered post within two days of the winner providing their postal address.

10. Persons who enter this competition by completing the online entry form are and ticking the box to become a Visit Brisbane subscriber are subscribing to the Visit Brisbane email newsletter. By subscribing to the Visit Brisbane email newsletter they are agreeing to receive email marketing from Visit Brisbane.

11. No Liability of Promoter: The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prizes.
