1. Information on how to enter the competition forms part of the competition conditions.
2. Competition entry is deemed acceptance of these competition conditions.
3. Prizes. There is one major prize for this competition. Major prize: 4x Riverlife Adventure Centre vouchers for any daytime Adventure Activity. The prizes are not exchangeable or transferable, unless deemed so by the prize providers, and cannot be redeemed for cash if the full amount of the voucher is not redeemed, the un-used balance will be forfeited. Any additional expenses incurred by the prize winners, other than those outlined in these competition conditions, are the responsibility of the prize winners. Prizes are themselves subject to the specific terms and conditions of the prize providers. The prizes must be redeemed by the prizewinner unless the prizewinner is under 18 years of age, in which case the prizewinner’s parent or guardian is required to redeem the prize on the prizewinner’s behalf
4. The competition period: The competition opens at 7:00am on Monday 5 January 2015 and closes at 11:59pm on Friday 16 January 2015.
5. How to enter: Entrants must complete the online competition entry form and state their first name, last name, email address, phone number and answer the question ‘What is your cycling related news year’s resolution?’ (25 words or less?). Entrants must then click on the submission button below the online form to ensure their details have been submitted electronically.
6. Eligibility: To be eligible to enter this competition, a person must:
(a) fully and legibly complete all the details on the official online registration form;
(b) not be an employee or contracted staff of the prize providers;
(c) not be an employee, contracted staff or relative of Programs and Project Unit, Transport Planning and Strategy branch within Brisbane City Council;
(d) be over the age of 18 or have the consent of a parent or guardian to enter the competition and;
(e)be a member of Brisbane City Council’s Cycling Brisbane program in order to claim a prize.
7. Competition Draw: Winners will be randomly drawn by a Council Officer. The winner of the Major Prize will be the first eligible entry randomly drawn.
8. Winner Notification: The winners will be notified by email/telephone, on Monday 19 January 2015 by a Council Officer. If the winner is not contactable the officer will contact the winner the following day on Tuesday 20 January 2015.
9. Re-Draw: If the winner does not claim the prize or cannot be contacted by phone or email by Thursday 29 January 2015, the Promoter will redraw the prize winner until a contactable winner has been located and the prize is claimed.
10. No Liability of Promoter: The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, misplaced, lost or ineligible entries. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury sustained in connection with the entry into the competition or acceptance of the prize. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws. Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the prize.
11. Important – Copyright and Privacy Consent: By entering into the competition, the entrant:
(a) grants to the Promoter (and agents or contractors acting on behalf of the Promoter) the non-exclusive irrevocable free-of-charge right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, publish and communicate to the public; and
(b) agrees to receive information from the Promoter and its agents and contractors acting on behalf of the Promoter about the Promoter’s Cycling Brisbane initiatives.

12. Force Majeure: If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter), which corrupts or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify all entries from any individual who tampers with, or benefits from tampering with, the entry process which as a result corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition.
13. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it’s determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
14. Council reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time and to cancel or amend the competition at any time without notice or further recourse to the entrants.
