A Double Pass To Ballarat Beer Festival
Summer is here and if one thing Summer is tailor-made for it is fun in the sun. What better way to spend a Summer Saturday than grabbing some friends and family, and heading to Ballarat Beer Festival – Victoria’s original boutique beer Festival, celebrating all things liquid gold on the picturesque Ballarat City Oval on 24th January.
The stellar musical line up includes Ash Grunwald, Way Of The Eagle (Jan Skubiszewski’s creative collaboration featuring Dan Sultan and The Cat Empire’s Harry James Angus); The Delta Riggs; Chris Russell’s Chicken Walk; Buddha In A Chocolate Box, Timberwolf and Demi Louise.
For craft beer lovers – novice and expert alike, a series of highly entertaining information sessions will take place during the day, and will be hosted by renowned beer educator and writer Pete Mitcham from Australian Brews News. With a plethora of beer makers and industry experts parting their knowledge to the crowd, special guests returning to the event include the brewmaster himself, Dr. Charles ‘Chuck’ Hahn and renowned chef and entrepreneur Stefano de Pieri.
The day is as much about beer as it is about top class entertainment, and the 2015 festival site will unveil alluring new attractions including The Cider Orchard – a wonderfully lush space to wander about admiring the vintage themes, inviting you to kick back, relax and sip a refreshing cider; Brewers’ Big Backyard, a specially created area for serious craft beer aficionados to take part in the festivities with ten breweries all under the one roof encouraging you and your mates to leisurely sample some of their delicious brews in a shady, relaxed setting; and The Games Garden, a funky, fun space crammed with all the cool stuff including games appealing to the inner child in all of us Jenga, bocci, croquet, hoola-hoops, and so much more. Plus a return of Kids Zone which, with its petting zoo and children’s entertainment galore, is fun for the entire family. The 2015 Ballarat Beer Festival will be a cornucopia of delights bound to suit big kids and the little kids alike.
