Who can enter the competition?
The GABF BEERtography Competition is open to amateur and professional photographers from anywhere in Australia.
What type of photograph can be entered?
It’s up to you but it can’t have any branding in the image. Think beyond a typical liquid beer image and ponder the wonderful world of beer and all that is behind this liquid nectar.The GABF BEERtography Competition is your chance to show us what craft beer means to you. It can be an image of beer, a person, brewing equipment or even the ingredients that go into making beer.
Remember, no branding of any kind is to be in the image, and the theme is “Craft Beer”.
The GABF BEERtography Photo Competition is free and open to amateur and professional photographers from anywhere in Australia.
The Competition closes on Friday 6th February 2015.
Photos entered must be taken after 1 October 2014.
The subject matter must have something to do with craft beer however NO BRANDING of any kind is permitted i.e. no logos or identifiable
If a photo includes a person or people, his/her or their permission for the photo to be entered in the competition must be obtained. If taking a photo of a person under the age of 18, please obtain written permission from their parental/legal guardian and send it in with your entry. Entrants are required to submit all images online.
Up to two photos per entrant may be entered. Judges will decide on the best 40 photographs with those finalists then required to post an A3 photo (flat packed not rolled up) for final judging. Finalists will be notified by 10th February.
Finalists will only need to send photo. No mounting or negatives are required. Photos will not be sent back.
Photos must be A3 in size (or closest).
40 of the best judged entries will be displayed at GABF 2014 located within the Geelong Racecourse on 21 February 2014.
The winning photographs will be considered by the judges to best represent a creative approach to craft beer. The judges’ decisions are final.
Winners will be announced and prizes awarded at GABF 2015 on 21 February. Winners’ cheque or prizes will be forwarded to them by 28 February 2015.
Entrants, while retaining copyright of the image/s entered into competition, agree that Australian Beer Ambassadors (ABA) may feature them in festival publications, on its website or in media campaigns promoting it’s events. ABA will include the entrant’s names to acknowledge photos where possible.
All entrants must provide a signed entry form with their photos when entering the Competition. Entries will not be accepted without a completed entry form.
Upon submission of an entry to the BEERtography Photographic Competition 2015, you, as the owner of the image grant GABF the right to:
o a) Maintain a copy of the image for archival purposes.
o b) Display the image in public spaces for the duration of the exhibition
GABF reserves the right to refuse or not display an entry.
I have read, understood and agree to the conditions of entry for the GABF BEERtography Photo Competition and accept them as part of the competition. I give permission for GABF to exhibit my photos and reproduce them for use in GABF publications, on its website or in GABF’s media in relation to the competition, and understand GABF will include my name to acknowledge my work, where possible. If GABF particularly like an entrants image but it’s not chosen as a winner but GABF would like to use it for commercial use, then organiser will discuss this at a later date
