AT THE CAMBRIDGE: Andy Bull will perform in Newcastle on April 25.
AFTER smashing out a succession of singles in 2014, including Keep On Running and Baby, I'm Nobody Now, Australia's rising star of pop Andy Bull will take his catchy tunes on tour next month.
Bull will tour the nation throughout April and May, stopping in Newcastle at The Cambridge Hotel on Anzac Day - April 25.
The Sydney-based alternative-pop singer-songwriter first hit the music scene in the early 2000s.
In May 2009, Bull toured in support of Lisa Mitchell, performing a solo set. He stepped in to play guitar for Mitchell when she cut her hand before the second show.
Since then Bull has enjoyed rising success right across the country.
He released Sea Of Approval, an adventurous album replete with wandering melodies and unexpected left-turns, early last year.
On top of polling three times in the past two years of Triple J's Hottest 100, in 2014 Bull was nominated for two ARIA Awards for best pop release and breakthrough artist.
He was one of the surprise hits of the 2014 Laneway Festival, supporting the claim that Bull is one of the nation's most promising songwriters.
Bull's Sea Of Approval tour will be the last time music lovers can catch him live on a stage before he heads back into the studio to write again.

The tour will be supported by Cub Sport, who established themselves as a band to watch with the release of their debut single Evie under original name Cub Scouts.
Bull's show at The Cambridge Hotel will start at 8pm.
