To celebrate Marilyn Monroe’s birthday, Kristian Fletcher Events and New Globe Theatre present a one-off screening of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, with a pre-show beauty pageant hosted by Miss Bertie Page!
Starring Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell, the 1953 movie musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes returns to the big screen for one day only on Saturday 30 May
Featuring the iconic number Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend and based on the classic Broadway musical, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes is the story of two lounge singers who embark on a cruise to Paris, and enjoy the company of eligible men along the way. The screening will be preceded by a beauty pageant hosted by local burlesque legend Miss Bertie Page!
The doors of the New Globe Theatre (220 Brunswick St, Fortitude Valley) will open at 2pm, with the screening set to kick off at 2:30pm. Under 18s must be accompanied by a parent.
