This competition is a promotion run by The Royal Automobile Club of Queensland Limited ABN 72 009 660 575 and Club Assist ABN 48 663 587 119 (“Promoters”).
Information on prizes and how to enter form part of these terms and conditions. Entries not completed in accordance with these terms are ineligible. Participation in this competition constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The competition is open to residents of Queensland who are over the age of 18 years of age, and who are current RACQ members at the time the competition is drawn.
Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter, related entities and agents of the Promoter are ineligible to enter.
The competition commences 12:01am, 1 May 2015 and closes 11:59pm, 31 July, 2015. The competition will be drawn monthly over a three month period. The dates of the draws are: 10am, 15 June 2015; 10am, 15 July 2015; and 10am 14 August 2015 at Club Assist, Marketing Department, 70 Telford Street, Virginia, QLD 4014.
At each of the three monthly draws (15 June 2015, 15 July 2015 and 14 August 2015), three members will each win the cost paid for their car electrics service back (including parts and service). Any member who has purchased and paid for a starter motor/ or alternator and service from an authorised RACQ Car Electrics representative is eligible to enter. An authorised representative for this competition is a Mobile RACQ Contracted Service Provider.
There will be a total of nine winners in this competition (three winners per each monthly draw) that will be chosen at random from all eligible entries received. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entry is by the member filling in an entry from with their first name, last name, email address, RACQ membership card number, postal address, telephone contact number, date of service and receipt number. The entry form is to be provided to the serving Contracted Service Provider.
Only one entry per sale is permitted and only one monthly prize will be awarded to each winner. Member entries will only be valid during the month of purchase.
The nine winners will each receive a refund cheque valued at the cost of the RACQ Car Electrics service purchased as indicated on the receipts provided by the winners. Prize components may alter at the discretion of the Promoter. Any change in the value of the prizes between the prize draw date and the date that the prizes are claimed is not the responsibility of the Promoter.
RACQ & Club Assist reserves the right to check the details of the receipts provided by the winners with the authorised representative.
The prize awarded to each winner must be taken as a refund cheque sent to the winner’s postal address as indicated on the entry form or listed on RACQ’s membership records.
The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
Winners will be notified by mail, phone or email using the postal address, telephone number or email address provided by the winners when they entered the competition. Prizes will be posted or couriered to winners as appropriate to the postal address provided in the entry form or as registered with RACQ within a month of the competition being drawn.
If a competition winner is unable to be contacted within 2 weeks of the draw a redraw will occur. In the event that a redraw is required it will be held on the following dates – 29 June, 2015, 29 July 2015 and 28 August 2015 at 10am. The redraw will be conducted in the Club Assist, Marketing Department, 70 Telford Road, Virginia QLD 4014 and redraw winners will be notified using the email, phone or the postal address that they provided when they entered the competition.
All entries become the property of the Promoter. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.
The information that entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting the competition, and to periodically keep entrants informed about the goods and services provided by the Promoter, related entities and its service providers. By entering this competition entrants consent to the use of their contact details for the purposes described in this clause. The Promoter may use or disclose entrant’s personal information to related entities or other appropriate third parties in accordance with its privacy policy.
If for any reason this competition is not capable of being conducted by the Promoter as intended, whether because of computer virus, mobile phone failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter which in the Promoter’s opinion affects the administration of the competition, security, fairness or integrity, the Promoter may in its sole discretion, cancel, modify or suspend the competition, subject to the approval of the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation in Queensland as may be required.
The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage or for any personal injury sustained as a result of taking the prize
or entering into this competition. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability or any goods or services offered as prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered to person or property by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter or its employees or agents, in connection with the arrangement for the supply, or the supply, of goods and services by any person to the prize winners, and where applicable, to any persons accompanying the prize winners.
