Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions.
2. Radio Magic 1278 of Media House, Level 7, 655 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008
3. The promotion starts on Monday 3 August 2015
4. The promotion ends on Sunday 30th August
5. Entry is open to residents of VIC and entry is deemed as acknowledgement and acceptance of
the following Terms and Conditions as well as radio stations General Conditions of Entry.
6. Fairfax Radio Network Pty Ltd employees and employees of Captains Choice and their
immediate families and any agencies associated with this promotion are excluded from entry.
7. The Major Prize will be provided by Niue Tourism on behalf of Magic 1278.
8. On air winners in the Magic 1278 Ticket Window in the month of August 2015 will go into the
draw for the chance to win the major prize.
9. Once the competition closes the names of all contestants who are eligible for the Major Prize
Draw will be gathered together with the winner announced on Monday 31st August
10. The Major Prize Draw will take place at Magic 1278 studios, level 7, 655 Collins Street
Docklands with the winner's name announced on air. The winner will also receive a letter
confirming their prize and their name and suburb will also be published at magic1278.com.au
for a minimum of 28 days.
11. Major Prize details: Return flights from Melbourne on Air New Zealand with Airport transfers
while on Niue. 7 night's accommodation at the Scenic Matavai Resort including continental
breakfast daily. 1 or 2 nights' accommodation in Auckland (hotel to be confirmed) if required
due to scheduling and includes an island orientation tour. Value up to $5,000
12. Travel must be commenced and completed within 12 months of the draw date. Seats and
accommodation are strictly subject to availability and closeouts may apply over peak periods
(eg. 15 Dec – 15 Jan & Easter). Travel is non-transferable or redeemable for cash. Travel is not
eligible for any Airports rewards. All other expenses are at travellers personal cost. It is highly
recommended that the winner purchases an appropriate level of travel insurance for their trip
13. The Promoter will not cover any costs other than those described in these terms and conditions.
14. Winners must hold a valid passport
15. Visa and passport expenses are the responsibility of the major prize winner.
16. By accepting the prize, winners agree that Magic 1278 can use their name, location, photo
(taken in conjunction with the prize) and audio of winning for publicity purposes.
17. Major prize winners agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs
to any media or organisation other than Magic 1278
18. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable for cash.
19. Travel insurance policies do not cover pre-existing medical conditions. Additional coverage may
need to be purchased dependant on individual requirements
20. All other expenses not specified will become the responsibility of the prize winner and their
companion. Including but not limited to spending money, incidentals, mini-bar, laundry, room
service, telephone calls and all other ancillary costs
21. Once the prize is accepted, the prize winner must deal with Niue Tourism directly to book the
22. There will be one major prize and the winner must be 18 years or over.
23. The judge's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
24. Acceptance of the prize is deemed acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
25. The Promoter offers this Major Prize on the understanding that each participant accepts the
package freely and at their own risk.
26. All contestants release from, and indemnify Magic 1278 and its associated agencies and
companies against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of accepting the prize or
participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income and/or personal

28. The winner must provide proof of identity upon winning their prize.
29. All information collected will be kept for administrative purposes only and will be destroyed
twelve months after the competition has ceased.
30. Promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the
information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion.
Entrants' personal information will be stored at the office of the Promoter, and may be disclosed
to State and Territory lottery departments and winners' names published as required under the
relevant lottery legislation. A request to access/update/correct any information should be
directed to the Promoter.
