SNAKE is an exciting new dance work that turns Genesis into an origin myth for gay men. In Snake, Adam is not born from the hand of God but shed from snakeskin. Innocent, narcissistic and autoerotic, Snake playfully imagines a male sexuality prior to the confines of society, language or prejudice. Choreographed by James Welsby and sound by Chiara Kickdrum, Snake is set to be a slick, distilled dance work performed by an untrained yet uninhibited “dancer”.
BAD ADAM is strong, poetry-driven theatre that investigates the complexities of sex addiction. Adam has snuck back into the Garden, “Club Eden”, with an insatiable hunger. Men are a bounty, love is scarce and God is perving. Highly confessional yet utterly unholy, Luckwell delivers an epic and intelligent discussion on the ins and outs of gay pleasure, love and cruising.
"(Bad Adam) does not shy away from the somewhat ugly side of gay sexuality, and that should be commended" ★★★★ (Melbourne Art Fashion).
"Luckwell is fast becoming known as one of the literary world’s more deft hands at writing erotica" (Melbourne Community Voice).
