IT HAS grown as a popular Hunter Valley tradition and it is back again this year bigger, better and brighter than before.
The ninth annual Christmas Lights Spectacular will open to the public at the Hunter Valley Gardens between November 8 and January 26.
Last year's light spectacular drew more than 123,000 people.
"This event sees families return year after year which is testament to the fantastic feeling you get from visiting the magical light displays," said Kyle McKendry, general manager of Hunter Valley Gardens.
A record number of lights are expected to be featured this year as well as brand new displays.
Santa will visit daily from 6.30pm until December 24.
There will be roaming entertainment and performances on offer every night, and gardens-goers will be able to step inside the Santa Dome and play old-school games in arcade alley.
Gates will open at 6.30pm and will close at 10pm, with the lights displays starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost $27 for adults, $22 for children aged four to 15 and $85 for family passes (two adults, two children).
