Starring Wendy Matthews and Tim McCallum from The Voice, the spirit of Christmas will come alive on Saturday December 5th at North Ipswich Reserve for the annual Mayor's Carols by Candlelight and we’re giving you to chance to experience it in VIP style. For your chance to secure your family an invite to the River949 VIP Christmas Corner keep listening to Marnie and Campo from 5am weekdays! Our lucky winners will get to walk the red carpet upon entry, spread out across their own space on their picnic blanket, indulge in drinks and nibbles all while watching the Carols with one of the best views possible. Make sure you head along to the Mayor's Carols by Candlelight - Saturday December 5, North Ipswich Reserve! Presented by Sekisui House, The Village Building Co, The Queensland Times and River949! There's heaps of other entertainment on the night including: Starring Wendy Matthews Tim McCallum from The Voice The Voices of Ipswich The Ipswich Gospel Choir Also featuring - Sheridan and our Junior and Senior Star is Born winners Kids rides Fireworks Spectacular This wonderful event is suitable for all ages and provides a fantastic program of entertainment and activity for the whole family. Please note, this is an alcohol and smoke free event. The official Carols Songbook will be available in the Ipswich Advertiser on Wednesday, 2 December 2015 – limited quantities will be available at the event. How to get there: Take the train to Ipswich Train Station and walk across the David Trumpy Bridge, head right onto The Terrace. Drive to the event – there is plenty of parking in the local area. Admission price: This is a FREE event. Food and drink: A range of food will be available for sale – prices range from $2.00 A range of drinks will be available from $3.50 This is an alcohol-free event Public are at liberty to bring in their own food and drinks (no alcohol). Seating: Public seating is available in the Reserve Grandstand (approx 700) and on the grassed area (approx 10,000). Wet Weather: Stay tuned to River 94.9 FM for weather updates. General Information: Local residents, please ensure your pets are secured safely at home during the fireworks. Take them inside or make sure your yard is secure and their collar tag details are up to date. ATM’s will not be available onsite. Competition opens Monday November 16th and closes Friday November 27th 2015. Please note, winners will receive an invite for their family. The family invite is valid for and caters for 2 adults and 2 children. No additional invites will be able to be obtained.
