The winner for the Open category will be selected by the general public via Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival Facebook page. The Youth and Child categories will be selected by The Apple & Grape Harvest Festival Directors.
Winners will be sent cheques to the value of their prize. Prizes can only be sent to Australian addresses, so entrants must be in Australia until the end of March 2016 to receive their prize.
HOW TO ENTER
Take a photo of your fruit art creation, and enter via the Woobox app on the contest page by uploading your photo and entering your email address on the entry page and submitting your entry. You may enter more than once but each entry must be unique.
If you are entering the Child or Youth categories please enter your age. Parents can enter their children's creation on their behalf if the child/youth does not have their own Facebook account.
DATES
Entries open Monday 10 January 2016 9am and close Sunday 21 February 2016 at 11.59pm Queensland time (GMT + 10).
VOTING
Voting opens 12:00am Monday 22 February 2016 and closes 11.59 Sunday 28 February 2016.
The winner for the Open section will be voted by the public using the Woobox voting app.
The winners for the Child and Youth sections will be chosen by The Apple & Grape Harvest Festival Directors.
ENTRY TIPS
Entries MUST feature apples and/or grapes as the main fruits. Other fruits are allowed in smaller amounts. There are no specific numbers or percentages, but if your creation is deemed not to use sufficient apples and/or grapes your entry may be ineligible. If you are not sure please send an example to
web@appleandgrape.org and we will provide feedback.
This board on Pinterest may give you a few ideas for your creations.
You may wish to make creatures with the fruits, carve them in interesting ways or let your imagination run wild.
PHOTO TIPS
Photos should only feature your creation, no people in the image please
Simple backgrounds for your creation look best - place on white paper or cloth, or on a plain plate.
Images should not be digitally altered in any significant way (for example, it is acceptable to remove minor blemishes or to apply a filter, but not to significantly digitally manipulate the creation).
OTHER
Photos may not include obscene, offensive or inappropriate material or defame any person, or otherwise infringe on any person’s proprietary rights. All photos submitted will be reviewed by Apple & Grape Harvest Festival Directors at its sole and absolute discretion to determine its appropriateness before it is published and made available for voting.
Your entry may be judged void if it is in whole or in part late, misdirected or incomplete, or contains false information, or does not conform with or satisfy any or all of the conditions of these terms, as determined by Apple & Grape Harvest Festival at its sole and absolute discretion.
On 29th February 2016, the entrant whose photo acquires the highest number of votes will be announced on the Stanthorpe Apple & Grape Harvest Festival Facebook page as the winner of the Open category. The winners of the Youth and Child categories will be announced by 1 March 2016.
Votes are limited to one per Facebook user per day, and must be submitted via the Woobox app on the contest page. The selected winner will be notified by email. To be confirmed a winner, a selected entrant must respond to the email notification within five (5) business days of it being sent. If any selected entrant cannot be contacted and confirmed a winner as above, his/her entitlement to receive a prize may be forfeited, and prize may be awarded to the entry whose photo acquires the next highest number of votes. Prize will be mailed to the confirmed winner.
In the event that there is an insufficient number of eligible entries, the Apple & Grape Harvest Festival reserves the right not to award the prize. Prize must be accepted as awarded, without substitution, transfer or assignment. Prize is non-refundable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY/CONSENT TO PUBLICITY
By entering the contest you consent to and grant The Apple & Grape Harvest Festival (Stanthorpe Festivals Association Inc.) a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use your entry for publicity, advertising or informational purposes, including posting on the Apple & Grape Harvest Festival website, blog and social media pages, without further notice or compensation.
