When is a prize not really a prize? Received a WEM today to say that I had had won a $1000 Scenic Travel gift voucher in a recent South City Bulletin competition.
Great....except when you read the conditions of the voucher. The voucher must be used as $500 per person (a couple travelling together). If you want to travel alone you can only redeem $500 of the voucher.
Most off-putting though is the stipulation that the voucher MUST be redeemed by the 30th April 2016 and that all bookings must be confirmed with a paid deposit by that date for the voucher to be eligible.
Only 3 weeks to choose a holiday, make the bookings and pay a deposit in order to use my "prize".
At the time I entered the competition I could not access the terms & conditions to the promotion. If I had seen the conditions before entering I certainly would not have bothered. A complete letdown!
