WARMWATERS: Lena and Luke Warmwater offer a unique brand of folk music and comedy at the Redland Performing Arts Centre on June 4.
Warmwaters will flow into the Redland Performing Arts Centre on Saturday, June 4 with its self-titled comedy-cabaret smash-hit.
The comedic folk duo promises songs that are sweet, sour and saucy.
Described as “the southern hemisphere’s most inspirational nu-folk duo”, Lena and Luke Warmwater invites to you its own two-person folk festival as it launches its first eponymously titled album. The album features Warmwaters’ distinctively arousing and identifying brand of acoustic music - a sackful of love songs, protest songs and classics that promise to put smiles on any audience’s face.
The duo is described as “ accidently-on-purpose cheeky” (Brisbane Times) and ”blissfully unaware that its entire repertoire is jam-packed with double-entendres” (The Creative Issue).
The show promises something for everyone. Lovers of folk music will naturally love it while it is said that haters will love it even more. The show features Bridget Boyle and David Megarrity, playing the indomitable duo.
