How to Enter
3. Entry is open to Australian residents only.
4. A purchase of a specially stickered copy of The Lovers' Guide to Rome book by Mark Lamprell during the competition period entitles a person to enter the 'Win a Piaggio Zip 50 Scooter Promotion' competition.
5. Employees, suppliers or contractors of Allen & Unwin or its associated companies or agencies, or any suppliers of prizes, or the immediate family of such persons, are not eligible to enter this promotion.

Any person who receives a copy of The Lovers' Guide to Rome free as part of another promotion (That's Life, Good Reading subscription prize, Allen & Unwin social media sites and Mouths of Mums rewards promotion) is also ineligible to enter. 7. Eligible people (Entrants) who enter online in accordance with these Conditions of Entry will be eligible to win. One (1) entrant will be selected as the winner.
8. To enter, a person must complete the competition online entry form in full on the Allen and Unwin website
www.allenandunwin.com/competitions during the competition period and retain their original proof of purchase (receipt) and sticker from the book which will need to be produced by the winner. Only one (1) entry per purchase is allowed. Entrants must be over the age of 18.
9. Each entry must include the entrant's name, date of birth, email address, postal address and telephone contact number
10. The entry submitted will be taken as the Entrants acceptance of assigning all rights and interests including but not limited to copyright and all other intellectual property rights of the Entrant's to Allen & Unwin.
Selection of Winner and Prize Details
11. The competition commences 00:01 (AEST) on 23/03/2016. Entries close 23.59 (AEST) on 30/06/2016 (the Competition period). Any entry received after that date will be ineligible. Entry by any person will be taken as acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Judgement of all entries will be conducted at the Promoter's office on 08/07/2016. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The prize of (1) Piaggio Zip 50 Scooter (valued up to $2,900) will be awarded to the entrant who, in the opinion of the judges, fulfils all the conditions of entry and best answers the competition question 'What would you do if you had one day in Rome with your beloved?'
13. The winning entrant will be contacted by e-mail/and or phone and must post or send a scanned image of their receipt and sticker to the promoter Allen & Unwin as proof of purchase.
14. The winner will be announced on this competition webpage by 31/07/2016.
15. Once all conditions of entry has been satisfied, the winner will be contacted by Piaggio Australia regarding Zip 50 colour choice (subject to availability) and delivery times and the prize will then be sent to the dealership nearest to the winner. The dealer will register the scooter for 12 months in the winner's name. Dealer handling charges, government registration charges and Compulsory third party insurance (CTP) are all included in the prize.
16. Total value of the prize is a guide only and will vary depending state registration charges. The prize must be taken as offered and is not exchangeable, transferable, or redeemable for cash or for resale.
17. Prize does not include additional costs which may be associated with the operation of the vehicle including third party or comprehensive property insurance, riding and safety gear. Licensing laws to operate two wheeled vehicles are specific to each state and we recommend winners familiarise themselves with the laws applicable to their state prior to operating the vehicle on public roads
18. It is the responsibility of the winner to get to and from the dealership to collect their prize and the winner must also pay any costs associated with transporting the scooter from the dealership.
19. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of taking the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
20. Allen & Unwin may conduct such further judging as is necessary on 31/07/2016 in order to distribute any prize unclaimed by that date, or if the original winner is deemed ineligible. If rejudging is required, the winner will be notified by e-mail.
Privacy
21. Allen & Unwin will not accept responsibility for late entries, ailed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. Entries that are forged, incomplete, illegible or do not comply with the terms and conditions will be deemed invalid. If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, Allen & Unwin reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Competition. No responsibility is assumed for: any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of, entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this Competition. In the event of a dispute over an electronic entry, prize will be awarded to the name on the Entry Form and Release, not the owner of the e-mail account.
22. The Promoter collects entrant's personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion.
