We Will Rock You
The worldwide smash hit musical We Will Rock You is coming to Melbourne’s Regent Theatre from August 30 as part of its Australian tour.
The epic Queen and Ben Elton musical We Will Rock You exploded onto the stage at the Sydney Lyric Theatre on May 5, receiving rave reviews from critics and audience members alike, and standing ovations each performance.
The Australian said: “It’s deliriously, majestically, mad entertainment.” While the Daily Telegraph described the production as “funny, cheeky, great entertainment … We Will Rock You delivers everything it promises.” And The Sydney Morning Herald declared: “We Will Rock You hits all the right notes … You will be rocked.”
The show stars Gareth Keegan as Galileo, Erin Clare as Scaramouche, Casey Donovan as Killer Queen, Brian Mannix as Buddy, Jaz Flowers as Oz, Thern Reynolds as Brit, and Simon Russell as Khashoggi.
We Will Rock You reflects the scale and spectacle that marked Queen’s live performances. With Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor as music supervisors, and “a band without parallel in the theatre” behind the cast, the audience can expect We Will Rock You to rock fiercely.
