Entrants must be at least 16 years of age.
The Promoter may require entrants to provide proof of age in a form acceptable to the Promoter. Should an entrant be unable to satisfy this requirement, the entrant will be ineligible for the Prize.
Entrants aged under 18 years must obtain the consent of their parent or legal guardian to enter the promotion and provide personal information about themselves. All entries of entrants who are aged under 18 years and enter the promotion without disclosing (or attempting to conceal) their age (as and where required) and/or do not provide the required parental or guardian consent (as and where required) will be deemed invalid. These Terms of Entry will bind the entrants and any parent or legal guardian who gives their consent (for entrants aged under 18 years). If a winner is aged under 18 years, prizes will be awarded to the parent or legal guardian who consented to the winner registering in the promotion on behalf of the winner, at the sole discretion of the Promoter.
Entrants may be required to provide a nominated valid Australian bank account (or the nominated bank account of the winner’s parent/guardian if the winner is under 18 years of age), as requested by the Promoter, in the event that the entrant is a winner.
An entrant who has won prizes to the value of $10,000 or more, in any promotion(s) run by the Promoter in the previous six (6) months prior to their Entry in this promotion is ineligible to enter this promotion.
The promotion begins at 6.00pm (AEST) on Friday 12th August 2016.
Entries into the promotion close at 2.00pm (AEST) on Friday 19th August 2016.
Web Entry
During the Promotion Period entrants must visit the Station Website and fully complete the online entry form in the manner required, including by:
(a) providing their contact details including but not limited to full name, age, contact telephone number, address and current and valid email address and any other information requested by the Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion); and
(b) answering the following question in 25 words or less: “Why should we put you on air with Kate, Tim & Marty?” (Answer).
Each valid entry will be individually reviewed by representatives of the Promoter (Judges) based on the Judging Criteria.
Each day between Monday 15th August 2016 and Friday 19th August 2016 between 2.00pm (AEST) and 4.00pm (AEST) the Judges (in their sole and absolute discretion) will:
(a) select up to ten (10) entrant/s judged to have submitted the “best” entries (based on the Judging Criteria, in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) from all valid entries submitted by 2.00pm (AEST) that weekday during the Promotion Period (each, a Selected Entrant);
(b) contact up to ten (10) Selected Entrants (in the absolute and sole discretion of the Promoter) by telephone to discuss their Answer and assess their suitability for radio (based on the Judging Criteria, in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion); and
(c) inform up to ten (10) Selected Entrant/s (in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) that they are on the standby list for that day and may be invited to participate in the On Air Challenge between 4.00pm (AEST) and 6.00pm (AEST) that weekday (On Air Challenge).
For the avoidance of doubt, if an entrant is spoken to by a representative of the Promoter, it does not mean they have been selected as a Selected Entrant, and they may not be invited to appear on air to participate in the On Air Challenge or win a Prize.
On Air Challenge
Between Monday 15th August 2016 and Friday 19th August 2016 between 4.00pm (AEST) and 6.00pm (AEST) the Promoter’s will conduct the On Air Challenge as follows:
(a) The Promoter will have up to ten (10) predetermined trivia questions (each a Question).
(b) Contact up to two (2) Selected Entrants judged to have submitted the “best” entries based on the Judging Criteria from all valid entries submitted by 2.00pm (AEDT) that weekday and invite them to participate in the On Air Challenge (each, a Contestant).
(c) The Contestants will then be asked a Question and will be asked to buzz in with their name if they believe they know the correct answer.
(d) The Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion) will invite the
first Contestant who buzz’s in with their name (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) to answer the Question.
(e) If the Contestant provides the correct answer the relevant Question (at the promoters sole and absolute discretion)they will be awarded one (1) point.
(f) if the Contestant does not provide the correct answer to the Question, or within the specified time period (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) they will not be awarded a point and the Promoter will invite the other Contestant to provide the correct answer to the Question within a specified time period. If they provide the correct answer to the Question (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) they will be awarded the point for that Question. If they do not provide the correct answer to the Question (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) they will not be awarded a point and the Promoter will ask the next Question.
(g) The promoter will continue this process for each On Air Challenge until one Contestant is awarded three (3) points. The first Contestant to successfully receive three (3) points (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion) will be deemed the winner for that On Air Challenge and will be invited to participate in the On Air Challenge for the following day as the ‘carry over champion’.
(h) For the avoidance of doubt, the losing Contestant will not be invited to participate in the Challenge on the following applicable weekday and will not receive a Prize.
Final On Air Challenge
(a) On Friday 19th August 2016, the Promoter will conduct the Final On Air Challenge in the same manner as above.
(b) The First Contestant to be awarded three (3) points will be deemed the winner and will be awarded the Prize (as determined by the Promoter in its sole and absolute discretion).
General Clauses
If for any reason a Selected Entrant or Contestant is unable to be contacted, or is otherwise unable to, or declines to, appear on air, or their phone line drops out, the Promoter (at its sole and absolute discretion) may decide to replace that Selected Entrant by contacting the Selected Entrant who submitted the next ‘best’ entry (based on the Judging Criteria, in the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion) and inviting them to participate in the On Air Challenge on the applicable weekday. The Promoter will repeat this process until a Selected Entrant is able to be contacted and confirms their eligibility and ability to participate in the On Air Challenge on the applicable weekday.
For the avoidance of doubt, Selected Entrants must participate in the Final On Air Challenge on Friday 19th August in order to be eligible for the Prize.
In the event that a Final Challenger declines or is unable to participate in the Final Challenge on Friday 19th August 2016, the Promoter may, in its sole and absolute discretion, invite a Selected Entrant judged to have submitted the “best” entries based on the Judging Criteria from all valid entries submitted by 2.00pm (AEDT) that weekday to participate in the On Air Challenge.
The Promoter (in its sole and absolute discretion) may give away clues/hints to assist the Selected Entrants or Final Challengers, however the Promoter is under no obligation to do so.
The Promoter’s decisions in regards to all On Air Challenges and the Final Challenge is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entrants may enter the promotion as many times as they wish, however each entry must be submitted separately, must be substantially unique, must contain a different Answer, and must independently comply with these Terms of Entry.
