Transmission Films are releasing Pedro Almodóvar’s’ Julieta in October which is a stunning, warm and seductive adult drama. It presents the distinctive, simple yet bold style of Spain’s most celebrated director and here we see him at his best. This is classic, quality filmmaking, telling the story of one woman’s personal drama starting when she is a young woman and following her through to her mature years. Performances from the leading actresses are wonderful. Julieta is played by both Emma Suáres and Adriana Ugarte, who is captivating on the big screen. The film was well received by critics out of Cannes and buzz and positive word-of-mouth was ignited locally at the Sydney Film festival in June.
