Terms and Conditions
1. Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained within the
promotional advertisements form part of these terms and conditions. By participating, in
this promotion entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. Only valid entries submitted between 12.01 am Monday 19 September to 11.59pm
Sunday 25 September are eligible.
3. Entry is open to all residents of Western Australia 18 years and over. Photo identification
may be required upon collection of the prize.
4. The prize winner will be drawn at 10am on Tuesday 27 September 2016.
5. The first valid entry drawn at random will be deemed the winner and will receive the
following major prize:
2 VIP tickets to The Sound of Music during the Perth season which runs until Sunday
October 9, 2016. The winner can nominate the date of their tickets which we will
endeavour to provide subject to availability.
One (1) night accommodation in a Luxe King room including access to 9 Lounge for 2
people*
Crown Gifts gift card to spend at any Crown restaurant to the value of $250*
*Terms and conditions:
Certificate is valid 7 days a week and expires a year from the issue date. Not valid New Years,
Australia Day, Long Weekends and Special Event Days. Subject to availability, not redeemable for
cash, is not transferable and cannot be re-issued.
The prize will be in the form of a Crown Gifts gift card and are valid for 12 months from date of issue.
The prize is strictly non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other goods or services. The
prize is not to be used in conjunction with any other offer. All meals, beverages, tours, tips, transfers
and any other extras not stated in the prize descriptions above are the sole responsibility of the prize
winner. If the gift cards are not redeemed within the date specified, the gift cards (or part thereof)

6. The next eight valid entries drawn at random will be deemed the runners up and will
receive the following runner up prize:
1x double pass to The Sound of Music (A- reserve tickets). The date of the show is
Wednesday October 5, 7.30pm.
The total prize pool is valued at $4,876 inclusive of GST.
7. The major prize winner will be notified by phone after the prize draw. If the winner cannot
be contacted by 10am Wednesday September 28 the prize will be forfeited and another
winner will be drawn. The runner up prize winners will be notified via email.
8. Prize collection:
The major prize winner will be able to pick up their show tickets from the box office at
Crown prior to their show. The rest of their prize will be posted to them.
The runner up prize winners are required to pick up their tickets from The West
Australian at 50 Hasler Road, Osborne Park WA. Tickets can be posted upon request
via unregistered post. The promoter takes no responsibility for lost, stolen or redirected
mail and no replacements will be given.
9. The prize/s must be taken as supplied and is/are neither redeemable for cash nor
transferable. No responsibility is accepted for any variation in the value of the prize.
10. The winners must make their own way to the show.
11. It is a condition of entry that all prize winners agree to have their name and suburb
published for publicity purposes if required. By participating in this competition,
participants signify their acceptance of all terms and conditions, and the requirement to
participate in promotional activity if required.
12. All contestants release from, and indemnify West Australian Newspaper Limited against,
all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation
in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and
damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some
negligent act or omission or otherwise.
13. West Australian Newspaper Limited and associated agencies accept no responsibility for
any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the promotion.
14. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any individual who the promoters believes
have breached any of these terms and conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other
improper misconduct. The Promoters have legal rights to recover damages or other
compensation from such an offender.
15. The Promoters’ decision will be final and cannot be contested. No correspondence will
be entered into. The Promoters reserve the right to limit entry or amend rules if
considered necessary without notice.
16. The Entrant consents to the use by West Australian Newspapers Limited, its related
corporations (as defined by the Corporations Act 2001), of the Entrant’s details and
acknowledges that West Australian Newspapers Limited and related corporations may, at
their discretion disclose and use those details for the purpose of providing them with
goods or services, communicating with Entrants, planning, research, product and
business development and sales, the competition and marketing (whether target, direct or
indirect) of their businesses, services or products or those of a third party which it
believes may be of benefit to them.
17. If an Entrant does not want their details to be used for the purposes stated in the above
clause please write to The West Australian email

Privacy Officer, GPO Box D162 Perth WA 6840 and West Australian Newspapers Limited
will ensure that the details are not used for that purpose.
18. The details will also be used to investigate complaints, as required or permitted by any
law, to enable West Australian Newspapers Limited to perform their obligations under this
or any other agreement and to ensure that an Entrant performs their obligations under
this or any other agreement.

Policy. Please note that information will only be provided to the person detailed and
current photographic identification may be required prior to the release of any personal
information.

21. On completion of the prize draw, all entries will be stored for a 12 month period at The
West Australian. This is a mandatory requirement of the Gaming and Wagering
