2. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms & conditions.
3. The competition period: The competition opens at 12.01am on 3 October 2016 and closes at 4pm on 17 October 2016.
4. Eligibility: To be eligible to enter this competition, a person must:
* (a) be an Australian resident;
* (b) be of at least (18) years of age (proof of age required to receive prize);
* (c) not be an employee or contracted staff or immediate family of an employee or
contracted staff, of the Promoter or JC Decaux. Immediate family means parents, siblings, spouse, children and grandparents.
5. How to enter: To enter, customers must subscribe to CityCycle within the competition period by going to
www.valleyfiesta.com and clicking on the ‘Ride To Win’ competition promotional tile and fill in the required details. This will re-direct you to
www.citycycle.com.au where you can register and subscribe to CityCycle.
6. A person’s subscription via the Valley Fiesta website entitles the person automatic entry into the competition. Please note: subscribing to CityCycle during this period does not automatically count as an entry into the draw. Entrants must enter via the Valley Fiesta website and then subscribe to CityCycle.
7. Entries are only valid for this promotion.
Prizes: There is 1 x ‘major prize package’ (valued at $1,000) which includes:
* 4 x backstage VIP tickets to Valley Fiesta VIP Green Room on Saturday 29 October from 2pm to 10pm.
* Food and beverage package.
* Exclusive access to VIP viewing deck of the Brunswick Street East main stage.
* Meet and mingle with the Valley Fiesta artists.
There is 1 x ‘runner-up prize package’ (valued at $319) and includes:

The prizes are not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Any additional expenses incurred by the prizewinners, other than those outlined in these competition conditions, are the responsibility of the prizewinners. Prizes are themselves subject to the specific terms and conditions of the prize providers.
8. Competition draw: The winners will be randomly drawn by a Valley Fiesta staff member at 4pm on Monday 17 October 2016. The winners will be the first two eligible entries randomly drawn.
9. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. Winner notification: The winners will be contacted via email and mobile phone – using the subscriber’s contact information.
11. The ‘major prize package’ winner must nominate 3 friends with whom they will share the backstage VIP tickets to Valley Fiesta. Friend must be 18 years of age or older and proof of age may be required. Only 3 friends can be nominated.
12. The prizes must be claimed by 5pm, Friday 21 October, by reply email or phone call. If the winner does not claim the prize or cannot be contacted by email by 5pm, Friday 21 October, the Promoter will re-draw a prizewinner until a contactable winner has been located and the prize is claimed.
13. Proof of identity and age may be required when claiming the prize.

14. Privacy Consent: By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the Promoter or its agents using the winner’s name for advertising, marketing and promotional purposes without compensation, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
15. By entering the competition, the entrant consents to the personal information entered on the subscription form being collected, stored and used by the Promoter or entities acting on its behalf for the purposes of sending marketing and promotional communications from Council and/or Valley Fiesta to the entrant.
16. In the event that a winner fails to satisfy any of the terms and conditions, that prize winner shall not be entitled to the prize and the Promoter may at its discretion award the prize to another entrant in accordance with the terms and conditions, or choose not to award the prize.
17. If the specified prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the Promoter may in its sole discretion, but is under no obligation to substitute a prize of like or equal value.
18. Any tax payable as a result of a prize being awarded or received will be the prizewinner's responsibility.
19. The Promoter takes no responsibility for the loss of the prize (or the inability of the prize winner to use the prize) due to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by the prizewinner, or otherwise.
20. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability, and merchantability of the prize.
21. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries. JCDecaux assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this promotion.
22. The Promoter and its related entities, employees, contractors, servants or agents shall not be liable for and accept no responsibility for any accident, loss, injury or damage (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) to any individual or property arising out of any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise in conjunction with the competition or a prize occurring either during or after the competition. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws. Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the prize.
23. Participation in the competition constitutes the entrant's unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these terms and conditions. The entrant is responsible for ensuring his or her familiarity with the terms and conditions. Council’s decision not to enforce a specific restriction does not constitute a waiver of that restriction or of the terms and conditions generally.
24. Force Majeure: If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter), which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify all entries from any individual who tampers with, or benefits from tampering with, the entry process which as a result corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition.
25. The Promoter may, at its own discretion, amend these terms and conditions if and when required and/or to cancel the competition at any time without notice or further recourse to entrants. Any such amendments shall be effective upon being live on the
www.valleyfiesta.com webpage. Entrants agree to be bound to any amendments in the terms and conditions so please ensure that you review these terms and conditions for any updates.
