The Gympie Times – Countdown to Christmas
THE COMPETITION
By entering this competition, Contestants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Contestants must be a permanent Queensland resident and reside in The Gympie Times newspaper distribution area to be eligible.
Contestants must be 18 years of age and over to be eligible.
If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and anything else that refers to this competition, these Terms and Conditions prevail.

ENTRY
To enter, contestants must collect the entry form published in The Gympie Times between Saturday November 26, 2016 and Friday December 16, 2016 (inclusive).
Entry Forms must be original newsprint.
Photocopies, scanned images, web prints, reproductions or other falsified artwork will not be accepted.
Entry forms must be completed in full and placed in an envelope and addressed to The Gympie Times – Countdown to Christmas; then
Send to: PO Box 394, Gympie Qld 4570; or
Deliver to: The Gympie Times office, 44 Nash Street, Gympie Qld 4570.
Entries must be received within the Promotion period (refer Clause 22).
Contestants can submit as many entries as they like, however, there is only one (1) prize to be won.
While entry is free, contestants are responsible for any costs to post or deliver their entries.
The Promoter takes no responsibility for late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, illegible or misdirected entries or any delays or failure from any postal service.
The Promoter may reject an entry if it reasonably forms the opinion that the Entry has been entered using false information or via automated entry means or by use of a competition entry service.
The Promoter may, at its absolute discretion, declare an Entry made by a contestant invalid if the contestant tampers with the entry process, benefits from such tampering or submits an Entry that is illegible, incomplete or not in accordance with these terms and conditions.
PRIZES
There is one (1) Major Prize winner. The winner will receive the following prize. The prize winner must collect their prize from The Gympie Times by Friday December 23, 2016 or the prize will be forfeited.

Voucher expires on January 27, 2017.
Any amount left on the voucher after the expiry date will be forfeited, and no extensions to the expiry date will be granted.
Any amount left on the voucher will not be paid out in cash or exchanged for another prize.

1 x Spicers Tamarind Two Night’s accommodation in a luxury Falls Villa with gourmet breakfast daily, valued at $798.00.
Spicers Tamarind Retreat Voucher is valid between January 5, 2017 and March 30, 2017.
The prize is for the accommodation (room only) and the inclusions stated in these terms and conditions and does not include any further accommodation, meals, beverages, trips, transport expenses, excursions or Mini Bar purchases, nor any charges to the accommodation by the winner or their travel companion.
The winner is responsible for booking their accommodation using the voucher provided.
The winner is responsible for transport between their home destination and Spicer’s Tamarind Retreat.
Subject to availability. The getaway is not available on Public Holidays.

www.spicersretreats.com The total maximum retail value of the prize pool is $1,798.00 (inclusive of GST).
All prizes are valued inclusive of GST and the Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in item values.
Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a contestant winning a prize, are the sole responsibility of that winner.
Prizes are non-transferable and can’t be redeemed for cash.
If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter may substitute a prize of similar nature and/or like or greater value.
PROMOTION PERIOD
The competition commences on Saturday November 26, 2016 and closes at 12:00pm AEST Tuesday December 20, 2016 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received outside the promotion period will be deemed as invalid.
ELIGIBILITY LIMITATIONS
The following persons are ineligible to enter:
Employees of, or contractors to, the Promoter as far as they are directly associated with this competition;
The spouse, de facto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural or adopted by a parent), of such employees and contractors (whether or not they live in the same household);
Contestants who have used or attempted to use any more than one name in order to qualify to win any contest run by the Promoter except in the case of a legal change of name.
All Contestants acknowledge that even if the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the Promoter has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person, it may require the return of the prize or payment of its value to the Promoter to be dealt with as an unclaimed prize.
PRIZE DRAW:
The prize winner will be selected by random draw at The Gympie Times office, 44 Nash Street, Gympie Qld at 2:00pm AEST Tuesday December 20, 2016.
Prizes will be awarded following winner validation and verification. The winner will be contacted by telephone.
Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner’s details will be published in The Gympie Times Public Notices Thursday December 22, 2016.
All Contestants acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to publicise and publish his/her name, character and likeness.
All contest winners must avail themselves for a photo if required by the Promoter and acknowledge that the Promoter has the right to utilise publicity photos in any reasonable manner it sees fit without compensation to the Contestant.
PRIZE COLLECTION
Prizes must be claimed in person and Government issued Photo ID is required to confirm identity and residential address.
Any winner must complete a Competition Release Form to confirm collection of their prize.
The winner must collect their prize by the date specified at Clause 16 for the prize to remain valid.
It is the sole responsibility of the winner to claim their prize.
PROMOTER’S LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
35. The Promoter is not responsible for the loss of prizes due to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by a winner. The Promoter also takes no responsibility for prizes lost or stolen after they have been released for delivery via postage or courier.
36. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes.
37. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained by any person and including, but not limited to consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its servants or agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner(s) and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the winners.
PRIVACY
38. All entries become and remain the property of the Promoter and its related parties, subject to the limits contained in the Privacy Statement and as set out in these terms and conditions.
39. The Promoter and its related parties, also collect personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may use and disclose such information in accordance with its privacy policy

41. To facilitate your participation, the Promoter may disclose your personal information to other companies associated with this promotion.
