Brief
Design original artwork for 2-4 unique T-shirt prints for Moselle’s new 2011 range of tees, integrating
the theme of ‘Stories of Freedom’. The theme ‘Stories of Freedom’ relates to the unique stories that
each of the women who make Moselle tees share. Check out a brief overview of our story at
moselleclothing.com/learn/ . Previous Moselle designs have included the symbols of trees, doves and
water. You may wish to integrate your own versions of these symbols in your work or use other symbols
that relate to this year’s theme. There must be a consistent style evident across the designs that
you submit.
About Moselle
Moselle is a clothing label set up to help end modern day slavery. Moselle partners with charitable
organisations like Destiny Rescue who rescue women and girls in Thailand from the degrading,
modern day slavery conditions in brothels. After the rescue Destiny provides counselling, education
support and sustainable employment opportunities in the fashion industry for those who have been
rescued. When you buy a Moselle tee you are helping provide sustainable employment for more
women who have been rescued, and giving them access to a bright, hopeful future.
Prizes
The designer of the winning entries wins 1) $300 Australian dollars, 2) one of each of their winning
designs printed on an organic Moselle tee and 3) worldwide fame arising from being the 2011 Moselle
tee line designer!
Creating your designs
Download a blank Moselle tee template from
http://moselleclothing.com/teecomp/ and layout your
2-4 unique tee designs on the templates as you want each of them to appear printed on the tees.
Ideally submit designs that would be suitable for printing on neutral tee colours, such as white or
light grey. Please design your tee prints as hi-res files (between 150-300dpi) in Adobe Photoshop
(.psd) or Illustrator (.ai).
Submitting your artwork
To submit your entry please EMAIL LO-RES VERSIONS (less than 1MB each please) of your 2-4 tee
print designs in either jpeg or PDF format to
info@moselleclothing.com with ‘2011 Tee Competition’
in the subject line and your name and contact details in the body of your message.
Deadline & Notification of Winners
The final deadline for tee design entries is 5pm April 15th, 2011. We will contact the winner by April
22nd via email and ask them to send full resolution files of their winning designs. If multiple entries
are chosen the winning designers will be contacted and the prize money will be split equally between
winning entries. Winning designs may be used on printed tees and for future promotional purposes.
Moselle reserves the right to make alternations to the winning designs and to use them on further
lines and for additional promotional purposes without additional compensation. As always the
judge’s decision is final and no correspondence following the announcement will be entered into
folks.
