Martin Scorsese's Silence, the Academy Award winning director's long anticipated film about faith and religion, tells the story of two Christian missionaries (Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver), who undertake a perilous journey to Japan to search for their missing mentor, Father Christavao Ferreira (Liam Neeson). A passion project 28 years in the making, Silence is based on Shusaku Endo's award-winning novel from 1966.
