Visit Brisbane and the Brisbane International Film Festival (BIFF) have teamed up to give away two tickets to the closing night of the festival.
You could be lucky enough to celebrate Brisbane legends The Go-Betweens in their part memoir, part concert film The Go-Betweens: Right Here in this one-off screening on Sunday 3 September at 6.30pm. Palace Centro Cinemas is pulling out all the stops to make this one hell of a night including food, drinks, live DJ and even inviting Go-Betweens band member Lindy Morrison to join in on the fun.
Running over 18 days, BIFF 2017 will be screening over 60 international and Australian films including award-winning titles straight from selection at Cannes, Toronto, Berlin and Sundance – only the best for our Brisbane viewers. There’s a host of Australian Premieres and films shot in our own backyard making their way to Queensland screens for the first time as well as a Queensland Short Film Competition to showcase the bright new talent that our sunny state has to offer. Don't forget to watch out for the free family screenings, the Asia Pacific Screen Awards and filmmaker and guest talks and seminars – its a packed full lineup ready for you to get lost in the world of film.
