SPECIAL guests Silvie Paladino, Simon Gleeson and Kane Alexander will join the Australian Philharmonic Orchestra for two New Year's Eve concerts in Melbourne.

Now in its 36th year, the show will also feature Denis Walter as MC.

The celebrated 65-piece orchestra, affectionately known as Aussie Pops, will perform songs from popular musicals past and present under the baton of Vienna-based Australian conductor Warwick Stengards.

There will be a blend of classical and contemporary music from shows such as The Phantom of the Opera, Show Boat, Carousel and Les Miserables.
