Win a Double Pass to See The Odd Angry Shot at Screen CitizensSee the Australian Vietnam War experience for free, and hear from the filmmakers who brought it to the screen.
Screen Citizens is a not to be missed series for people who love watching films, learning about filmmaking and hearing about the stories behind the stories.
To celebrate the talent of Australian and local Bondi film makers, Bondi Pavilion Theatre will be running Screen Citizens, a series of film screening and talks with nationally and internationally recognised film makers.
Throughout October and November, film reviewer and critic, Peter Castaldi will host film screening discussions with producers, directors and writers who will share their stories about their films, film making and subjects ranging from the journey of the story, local and international careers, shooting in overseas locations, risk-taking in Australian film, passion projects and cult classics.
Stay around, have a drink and a chat in the Bondi Pavilion bar overlooking famous Bondi Beach after these great Australian film screenings, made by Bondi locals!
Next Thursday, November 30, at 6.30pm, it’s the acclaimed Vietnam War drama The Odd Angry Shot, starring Graeme Kennedy, John Hargreaves, John Jarratt, Graeme Blundell, and Bryan Brown. The writer/director Tom Jeffrey and producer Sue Milliken will be present at the screening and will talk with Peter Castaldi afterwards about the making of the film, Australian society at the time, film making from the 70s to now and taking risks in Australian film.
We have two double passes up for grabs. To win, simply email competitions@filmink.com.au, with ANGRY SHOT GIVEAWAY in the subject line and tell us your favourite Australian war film. The winner’s name will be added to the door list. Entries close at noon on November 30, 2017.
