Win a sneak peek of ACCA’s new exhibition exploring contemporary art and feminism

Be one of the first to see ACCA’s highly anticipated summer exhibition, ‘Unfinished Business: Perspectives on art and feminism’

Kick off your summer art adventures with tickets to a VIP exhibition preview at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA). Our friends at ACCA are giving five lucky Time Out readers a double pass to the opening event of Unfinished Business: Perspectives on Art and Feminism on Thursday December 14 at 5pm. What does this mean, exactly? Bragging rights that you saw the exhibition first, for a start; but more importantly, a curator talk, limited edition Unfinished Business merchandise, plus tasty canapés by Ed Dixon Food Design, bubbles by Pommery Champagne, wines by Denton View Hill and Capi sparkling water.

Unfinished Business is the newest in ACCA’s series of ‘Big Picture’ exhibitions, which engage with the relationship between contemporary art and major social, cultural and political issues. This time, the context is feminism. The exhibition will look at the last five decades, examining the continued relevance and necessity of feminism over that time.

Visitors can expect works ranging from painting and photography to sculpture, video and performance, by female-identifying, gender-queer and trans artists. The exhibition has been curated by ACCA’s artistic director Max Delany and senior curator Annika Kristensen, with Paola Balla (Wemba-Wemba and Gunditjmara artist, curator and academic, Victoria University and co-curator of ACCA's 2016 exhibition Sovereignty) Julie Ewington (curator, writer and broadcaster, and previously head of Australian art at QAGOMA, Brisbane) Vikki McInnes (managing editor, Art & Australia, and research development fellow, Victorian College of the Arts), and Elvis Richardson (artist and initiator and chief researcher of CoUNTESS).

Read more about Unfinished Business with our interview with curator Annika Kristensen.

To win, simply enter your details below by December 7.
