Competition and entry details
This competition is conducted by Accent Group Limited ABN 85 108 096 251, of 2/64 Balmain Street, Cremorne, VIC 3121, Australia (Promoter).
Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The competition is only open to Eligible Entrants. An "Eligible Entrant" is an individual who, at the time of entry:
is a resident of Australia aged 18 years or older or, if under 18, with parent/guardian consent);
is not an employee of the Promoter or any of its related entities or any of their agencies associated with the competition; and
is not a spouse, de-facto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether full, half, step or by adoption) of such an employee.
The competition commences on 18th August 2018 at 9:00am (AEST) and concludes on 2nd September 2018 at 12:00 (AEST) (Entry Period).
The competition will be advertised on Skechers AU websites, stores, social media, and via email.
To enter, an Eligible Entrant must:
Buy any pair of full price shoes from our Skechers Men’s category
Customer must give their email details at time of purchase to be in the draw to win
An Eligible Entrant may enter the competition every time they buy a pair of full price shoes from our Skechers Men’s category and must give their email details at time of purchase.
The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, proof of residency and/or proof of entry validity in order to claim the prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that the winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who has, in the opinion of the Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the competition which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promoter.
Eligible Entrants must make their internet entries manually using an internet browser. The Promoter may reject internet entries if it reasonably forms the opinion that they have been entered using automated entry means or by use of a competition entry service.
Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Entry Period. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries or for any delays or failures due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.
Any entry that is made on behalf of an Entrant by a third party will be invalid.
Any costs associated with entering the competition are the responsibility of the entrant are dependent on the internet service provider used.
Winner and prize
There is only one (1) prize to be won, and consists of one (1) trip for two (2) adults (or one person under 18 and his/her parent or guardian aged 18 years or over) to the 2018 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 with Mobil 1 Boost Mobile Racing. The dates of the trip must be in line with the dates of the event, 4th – 7th October. Prize consists of two tickets to the event, and two return flights to and from the event.
The Prize Package includes:
Two (2) return economy class airfares to Bathurst from local Australian Airport (whichever is closest to the winner’s residence); and
Two (2) tickets to the 2018 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 with Mobil 1 Boost Mobile Racing, including Paddock Access, Meet ‘n Greet with the Drivers and Team, Exclsuive Mobil 1 Boost Mobile Racing Garage Tour and Mobil 1 Boost Mobile Racing Merchandise Pack.
The winner and his/her companion must depart from and return to the same departure point and travel together. The winner and his/her companion are responsible for ensuring that they have valid passports, and any requisite visas, vaccinations and travel documentation. Frequent flyer points will not form part of the prize. The prize is subject to the standard terms and conditions of individual prize and service providers. The winner may be required to present their credit card at time of accommodation check in.
Travel insurance is not part of the prize and is the winner’s responsibility.
The prize only includes travel to and from the event, and tickets. Any accommodation costs associated with the trip will be the winner’s responsibility.
If the winner does not want to go to the Bathurst 2018 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 100 with Mobil 1 Boost Mobile Racing the prize cannot be redeemed in any other way and they will need to forfeit the prize.
Other than as set out in these terms and conditions, no part of the prize is exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
If the prize(s) is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value.
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable media editorial requests relating to the prize, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed, filmed and/or chaperoned throughout the duration of the prize.
In consideration for the Promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner hereby permits the winner’s image and/or voice, as recorded, photographed or filmed during the winner’s participation in the prize to appear in connection with the Promoter and its advertising and marketing activities, in any media whatsoever throughout the world and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
If for any reason whatsoever the winner does not take the prize (or an element of the prize) by the time stipulated by the Promoter, the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.
Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.
To the full extent permitted by law, the Promoter, its related entities and its agencies associated with the competition all those entities' personnel (the "Relevant Parties") exclude all liability for any loss (including any damage, claim, injury, cost or expense) which is suffered or incurred by any Eligible Entrant in connection with the competition or prizes, including: (i) any indirect, economic or consequential loss; (ii) any loss arising from the negligence of a Relevant Party; (iii) any liability for personal injury or death.
Prize draw
The draws will take place at Accent Group Limited, 2/64 Balmain Street, Cremorne, VIC 3121, Australia at 12:00 pm AEST on 3rd September 2018, using computerised random selection. The winners will be notified by email or phone and within 2 days of the draw. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant.
If the Promoter has not been able to contact the prize winner to confirm the win and their details for the prize by 4pm on Friday 13 July 2018, the prize will be re-drawn and the prize will be forfeited in full by the winner. The Promoter may conduct such further draws as may be necessary to distribute the prize which is unclaimed.
General
If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
The Promoter assumes no responsibility for: (i) any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter or any entrant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise, (ii) any theft, destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of such communications; (iii) any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the competition; (iv) any incorrect or incomplete information which may be communicated in the course of the administering this competition (whether as a result of one of the foregoing causes or otherwise).
As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner must sign any legal documentation in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form and acceptance of prize conditions.
Entrants’ personal information will be collected by the Promoter to enable it to administer the competition, publicise the winner and for marketing purposes as set out in these terms and conditions. The personal information of the winner may be provided to other party involved in the conduct of the competition, including the competition administrator, prize suppliers and deliverers, and to regulatory authorities.
