MORE than 2000 people will be vying for the big cheese at the YMCA Rat Race along Brisbane River this month.
The run is for everyone, with the focus firmly on fun and obstacles rather than fitness and finish lines.
Teams are given a large inflatable cheese to protect as they skid, slide and scamper across obstacles during the run on October 28.
All funds raised from the race go to feeding children as part of the YMCA Schools’ Breakfast Program, which provides 500,000 breakfasts a year in 105 schools across southeast Queensland.
Entrants choose a 4km or 8km obstacle course along Brisbane River that culminates in a cheese and wine event at Captain Burke Park in Kangaroo Point.
Quest Community News is giving readers the chance to take part in the annual family event with 14 YMCA Rat Race prize packs, valued at $200 each, up for grabs.
Each prize includes two race entries, one novelty inflatable cheese and a merchandise pack.
