One of Britain’s best actors Bill Nighy is again lighting up the silver screen in new film Sometimes Always Never.

Starring alongside Sam Riley and Alice Lowe, Nighy plays Scrabble-obsessed Merseyside tailor Alan, whose eldest son Michael stormed out of the house after a particularly heated round of the board game, never to return.

Years later, Alan and his other son Peter (Riley) continue the search while trying to repair their own strained relationship. With a body to identify and a family torn apart, Alan tries to solve the mystery of an online player who he thinks could be Michael, so he can finally move on and reunite his family.

With a witty script by acclaimed screenwriter Frank Cottrell-Boyce (The Railway Man), director Carl Hunter captures the shifting moods of a family who know plenty of words but struggle to communication in this comedy-drama.

Sometimes Always Never opens nationally March 14.
