Win a festival pass to the Raine Square Fashion Film Festival at Palace Cinemas

[/img]

The inaugural Raine Square Fashion Film Festival at Palace Cinemas launches on 1 August with six red-carpet events each Thursday night, as an official Perth Fashion Festival pre-event program. This celluloid celebration of fashion lands perfectly at Raine Square as the future destination for luxury fashion in the Perth CBD and home to the stunning Palace Raine Square Cinemas.

The festival will premiere on Thursday 1 August with a gala reception and fashion parade presented by the Perth Fashion Festival, followed by a screening of cutting-edge documentary Jean Paul Gaultier: Freak & Chic, followed by Breakfast at Tiffany’s on 8 August.

Tickets to all events include a complimentary pre-film cocktail function in the Palace champagne lounge hosted by a suite of Perth influencers and fashionistas, along with fashion displays, entertainment and a deluxe Raine Square goody bag.

Thursday 1 August – Jean Paul Gaultier: Freak & Chic (M)
5.45pm gala reception and PFF parade, 7.00pm film

Tickets include a complimentary pre-film cocktail function in the Palace lounge and a launch fashion parade presented by PFF.  Official proceedings will feature MC TV beauty Rebecca Johns @Rebecca_C_Johns with all guests taking home a deluxe Raine Square goody bag.

Jean Paul Gaultier. One of the most distinguished and remarkable fashion designers is renowned for his striking and subversive creations. In an all access look behind the scenes, JEAN PAUL GALTIER: FREAK & CHIC follows the exceptional and ambitious 2-years in the making of Gaultier’s glamorous cabaret, which will plunge viewers into the eccentric and often provocative universe of this iconic genius that pushes the boundaries of the fashion genre.

Thursday 8 August – Breakfast at Tiffany’s (PG)
6.00pm pre-movie cocktails, 7.00pm film

Ticket includes complimentary pre-film cocktail function in the Palace champagne lounge hosted by Perth’s own elegant fashionista Melissa Graham @iamlissygraham . Guests will be treated to a Tiffany-themed surprise, and a deluxe Raine Square goody bag.

Nominated for five Academy Awards, and winner of two, Breakfast at Tiffany’s elevated Audrey Hepburn to an icon for her elegance and grace and is where the original “little black dress” was born. Set in New York the 1961 classic features fashions by Givenchy, and timeless moments of Hepburn as Holly, with her hair in a high chignon, carrying an oversized cigarette holder, with her sunglasses and wide brimmed hats.

Thursday 15 August – Celebration: Yves Saint Laurent (PG)
6.00pm pre-movie cocktails, 7.00pm film

Ticket includes complimentary pre-film cocktail function in the Palace champagne lounge hosted by local design and fashion maven Olivia Vlachou @oliviavlachou from Olympia Creative.  Guests can be part of the live fashion illustrations and everyone will take home a deluxe Raine Square goody bag.

Olivier Meyrou’s documentary “Celebration” offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look of Yves Saint Laurent’s last few years of genius at the helm of his self-made fashion behemoth, before his exit from the house in 2002.  As Yves Saint Laurent, one of the greatest Parisian haute couture designers, draws the sketches for his final collection, behind the scenes, Pierre Bergé manages a series of events to celebrate the fashion icon as a modern myth.

Thursday 22 August – The September Issue (PG)
6.00pm pre-movie cocktails, 7.00pm film

Ticket includes complimentary pre-film cocktail function in the Palace champagne lounge hosted by Perth’s own fashion and media doyenne Di Bauwens @dibauwens . Guests will be able to take home their very own Vogue Magazine cover in our photobooth and all receive a deluxe Raine Square goody bag.

Fashion is a religion; this is the bible.  Anna Wintour, the legendary editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine for twenty years, is the most powerful and polarizing figure in fashion. Hidden behind her trademark bob and sunglasses, she has never allowed anyone to scrutinize the inner workings of her magazine.  With unprecedented access, filmmaker R.J. Cutler’s film The September Issue does for fashion what he did for politics in The War Room, taking the viewer inside a world they only think they know.

Thursday 29 August – Halston (CTC)
6.00pm pre-movie cocktails, 7.00pm film

Ticket includes complimentary pre-film cocktail function in the Palace champagne lounge hosted by local style queen Katerina Janceska @perth.fashion.blogger. Guests are encouraged to dress with a touch of vintage class while they enjoy the Halston pop-up gallery exhibition. Everyone will take home a deluxe Raine Square goody bag.

America’s first superstar designer, Halston rose to international fame in the 1970s, creating an empire and personifying the dramatic social and sexual revolution of the last century. Reaching beyond the glitz and glamour, acclaimed filmmaker Frédéric Tcheng reveals Halston’s profound impact on fashion, culture, and business.

Thursday 5 September – Sex and The City (MA 15+)
6.00pm pre-movie cocktails, 7.00pm film

Ticket includes complimentary pre-film cocktail function in the Palace lounge hosted by Pieta Sharpe from Perth Happenings @perthhappenings with live DJ.  Guests are encouraged to wear their best SATC outfits with prizes for best dressed.  Everyone will take home a deluxe Raine Square goody bag.

The first big-screen adventure of Carrie Bradshaw and her best gal pals is any fashionista’s dream with over 300 ensembles used over the course of entire film by Costume designer Patricia Field.  From the Vivienne Westwood wedding dress to Carrie’s iconic tutu, the film features amazing jewellery, millinery, bags and haute couture designs.
